I get why they are tying it to the skate.pass. It is what it is. But paying 500 rip chips per day going forward, even in future seasons, just seems no bueno.

I’d think tying the map to the pass for the entire season with no rip chip rental would be better for them. With the caveat once the season is over it’s free for everyone forever. The skate pass just gets you to access it in s3.

I know this is probably an unpopular opinion, but if they keep Grom tied to the pass or rip chips, and in s4 there’s another thing tied to the pass and rip chips, it eventually becomes too much.

If they keep this business model and fast forward to season 6 for example: imagine having to pay 500 rc to skate Grom, plus another 500 rc to skate another island, then another 500 to skate another island. Thats 1500 rc per day just to mess around for 30 minutes in each location.

Just make it so you either buy the pass and have first access to new areas, or wait until the following season. But once that following season come around, it should be free for everyone. We can’t have every single map expansion tied to the pass forever. That would be insanity.

I lived in Austin for 15ish years. Great city. Amazing food. Live music every night of the week all over the city.

Just wanna pop in here to say, I am incredibly disappointed in how things are going with this game. Especially the complete reversal on the statement made before release about not locking away maps. I feel like there's a lot of areas in this game that have been fumbled hard and it really confuses me as to how this happened. People were willing to accept the f2p model, they said what they want to see and what they'd like to pay for but it seems like everything went the opposite way.

All love to the devs, the gameplay on its own is fun, addicting, and way ahead of all the previous skate games. I know inner company politics has a big play in a lot of the decisions made here so I don't blame the devs whatsoever.

This just makes me sad to see what has become of this series, the same name of the game that I begged my mom to bring me to toys r us every other day for, just so I could player the demo of the original. The same one that I got for christmas along with an xbox 360 and is, in all honesty, probably my most memorable childhood memory.

I really wish the best for the future of this game, I hope things change for the better. I don't want to see it die.

I have been grazing on a Costco sized catering tray of pinwheels for the last week and im still not finished. (nobody showed up to my work party and they said I could have a full tray). Honestly the savings on my daily lunch alone has been incredible. Some are ham, some are turkey, but they have a variety of Swiss and cheddar, with fresh lettuce. Session comes the closest, but the thing skate. & the franchise in general does best is offering variety & a whole lot of space to express it. Yeah, that one is a pain. What has worked for most people has been when the reset happens (around 12 Noon if you're EST) let the game fully launch, & load up then FULLY quit the game out. Restarting it after that should have those challenges count.

For tricks, I understand why they would be adding them each season, they take time to make work and such, but I really do wish we had a story instead of what we have now. There's cool places to skate, some nice outfits/gear, and even community parks that look nice now (design wise, cause the yellow and blue we had previously was not it), among other things. However, that doesn't change the fact that this game has zero story, and probably never will.

found a cool way to get fast 4x multiplier. Any 360 flip+180 rotation, and press X/square for ollie north/south (one foot air) since its technically another trick in the line it scales a lot to bring you up to 4x in like 2 or 3 tricks

I do want changes but mostly just new maps / skateable areas and better community/custom parks. A lot of the current/past ones felt very gimmicky with exception to dime park. More spots that emulate real life famous spots would be great foundation. Brickswitch box release is something else I'm excited for to finally see what they do for the new f2p cloth options.

The challenges in the game already, id say maybe 40% were fun to do first time/repeat, but the rest I didn't really enjoy as much.
