i was messing with it once, the mouse to flick kinda worked for basic stuff like i could ollie and do various flip tricks, grinds on ledges etc

Hello! I have a Nintendo Switch 1 Pro Controller. Can I play skate. with it? If so, could someone share their settings with me so I can copy them on my Steam layout? I managed to make the B button make the character jump, Y button equips the board etc. But when I drag the L joystick it doesnt FS boardslide, just stops the board very slowly with the backfoot. So I was bored and watched the old boardroom/dev update videos last night. They frequently said “If you don’t like the costumes and want more grounded clothing- we can change it.” and “If you don’t like the direction we are going, we can adapt and change.”

All of that sounds good and I hope the reason we haven’t seen substantial changes yet is because the first few seasons were essentially done and any changes would come later, but man, it feels like they haven’t listened to the majority of the complaints.

Honestly a lot of aspects of challenges feel asynchronous with the core desire for playing the game. The challenges themselves don't feel like they revolve around clips or shots. Just lists.

• OTL is a great challenge type but it's only usable in co-op, so rework OTL to also work solo
• Rework the Slam challenges to have a more satisfying scoring system to make your skater feel less like jello
• Add back the photo and video challenges to create a guided challenge mode
• Deathraces could make a return as a mode, reworked to incentivize doing tricks to build up speed (matches the cartoony tone) and properly uses checkpoints to guide the flow

These aren't complex additions or difficult ideas lol

I know I'm not everyone, but for me... the skating is the challenge.
I dont mean that in a "its hard" way, but in a "ok what can I do today", "lemme find something cool to do", it's what I keep coming back for.

Just need the map to evolve and expand to keep me from running out of spots.
But even then, I come back to some of my favourites to do new things anyway.

But... Again... I also appreciate I don't really skate the way a lot of people do. I like doing realistic stuff, no assists, just trying to get cool lines. Clipping them, sharing them.

TLDR - text descriptions of premium items, in game trailer of the premium items, a trial that lets you wear/use the item and do a specific preset challenge (like a line or own the spot) wearing the item and its removed from your skater afterwards - so you can SEE and use the thing you're buying.
