i wish there was a modifier button to go into lateflip mode. that would a) negate that b) allow for super quick flicks. lateflips need to be overhauled in general and i think this is the answer. so you could be in the middle of a trick and quick flick. then you could do back/front foot lateflips etc

I think the method they have is perfectly reasonable

a modifier mode would make it unnecessarily complex to solve a relatively minor issue

barely anybody knows how to prewind, which is crazy for such a fundamental mechanic

i was thinking as an option like how they have the quick flick mode. this will probably be the skate game we have for the next 7-10 years so i think its reasonable to hope for a way to do more realistic lateflips. right now you are forced to use the same stick that tweaks your board around in the air, and you cant do them quick enough or in the middle of flip tricks. i bet when they add underflips this may be improved, but not sure how

thats what im thinking because imagine if holding the right bumper stopped the right stick from tweaking, and then temporarily enabled quick flick or whatever. but this was implemented at same time that lateflips get an overhaul in ways i mentioned. so as a simple example (and a chance to call out our boi NinjaLifestyle) just look up his POP SHUV LATE FLIP (10 Years Later!) video. around :40 seconds. hes doing it with front foot in this case, but you can also tap like that with back

and i think its fkd up skate didnt get any game award or anyting. they did a crazy good open world and they aint got no accolades for it yet. 2026 is the year of skate takeover, these servers going wild is just the beginning. new skaters are tuning in every day now, im happy every time i meet a new skater in game.

i dont feel people give creds for the complex game mechanics they built for us. its like ppl just expect flick it system and everything to work pitch perfect. the needed to rebuild the WHOLE GAME in frostbite, its super complex to get the skateboarding feel soo good. look att S33ssi0n or that other game, u cant even do grabs or get any pump speed. we shouldnt take these mechanics for granted the studio is working super hard so we can have a good game. they are transparent jeff doing these weekly grinds keeping us posted and whatnot. not all studios do this.

i also have tons of issues with the game but its just a part of it. when i get annoyed by it i SIMPLY play another game or touch grass, it aint that hard. then i come back to skate whenever i feel like skating

I havent opened this game in weeks. It held my attention for 3 months. Then I started logging in just to do my daily challenges and check the store. Now I have it installed hoping the next update changes the game. But it prob wont and will continue to go unplayed

Functionality, I find the overall usability not good. The structure of the menus, the terrible music player and playlist stuff. All not good. Skating feels amazing tho. 8.

Features - it’s lacking. Game modes, qol things. Really a 5 and that’s generous.

Sound- mixed bag. The music is aweful for the most part but the sound design otherwise is good. I also recognize that music is very subjective so 7.5

Graphics - could be better. Also getting better. But I don’t mind the style and sometimes it genuinely looks good. 8

Performance - it sometimes crashes and I know a lot of people have problems, but on my Xbox it runs good. 8.5

So if I take the average that’s 7.3 I believe. But I would still rate it around 8 because I value some things more then others 🙂

Because it's all skyscrapers like 80% of the map is in darkness
The majority of the best spots in game I don't want to do photography in because it's so damn dark

the leap in pictures from season 1 to season 2 was crazy. I think leap from s 2 to s 3 gonna be even better. eventually this game gonna look like battlefield since it's using the same game engine. maybe not the same graphical style but the quality of it. the facial expressions are already on another lvl.

I've also heard it can be kinda hard to work with, hoping full circle is getting plenty of help from dice and criterion about it if so, we all want this game to be good
