Nah they fine , my brother had a 8.0 size trucks and he went to 8.25 perfectly and is now riding my size boards 8.5 with the same trucks , its all about prefrence and if you dont ride loose having it a bit poke out isnt a problem(even when you ride loose aswell just tiny bit more prone to wheelbite)

i'm not sure the best way.
the only potential flag I could see with The Weekly Grind would be.. if someone does something naughty, etc. by linking it in The Weekly Grind it would be seen as an official sanctioned event and backlash could come on the game.

we tried stuff like this back in the day on Battlefield and some server admins turned toxic, so we had to stop. vetting the organizers, the event - it could be some work.

that being said - LEADING an event (from the community perspective) is definitely something we're looking at for our community engagement stuff.
game sessions with the community, etc. more details on that to come.

on the other hand, mentioning "what's happening in the community" is definitely something we want to pull into The Weekly Grind - not just bugs, issues, patches, but what the people living and skating in the city are doing.

GPU makers update their drivers pretty frequently, but can't account for possible issues with newer drivers and some games.

and to pair with that, sometimes games can't push a client update as fast as GPU drivers come out.

Bro, I've been playing this game on and off since beta. And to this day, we're constantly being told that “we're listening to you” or “the next update/season is going to be awesome.” Sorry, but every time I look at an update, it's just a boring challenge grind. The gameplay loop lost me a long time ago. It's a “skate for 10 minutes” game, and that's only out of nostalgia for what it could have been.

Player count at least on steam has been on a steady decline for a while now. Last time I checked it had less than 5,000 players in a 24 hour peak. Every month it feels like less players playing. Even on weekends I’m sure it barely even hits 10k

Live service games live and die on the content they provide to their playerbase

I don’t even think lighting should be a priority for the game when the player count keeps going down. Players want more game modes(hall of meat, skate, 1-up) maps, customization options, grabbing onto cars, more content and other mechanics that already exist in other skate games.

If they’re playing the long run I hope it works out for them but right now the game is still missing a lot.

Please go check out data for other games before we go down this route. Skate's dropped to 8% of its playerbase (on steam alone) after 4 months. The retention drop is better than Palworld, it's better than Battlefield 2042, it's not far off Fall Guys or Halo Infinite. It's still got more players currently, than THPS1+2 and THPS2+3 at launch. This also doesn't count for console/ea app players, and so many people I see in game are on Playstation.

The drop is large. But for games that have huge viral spikes at the start, it's almost the norm.

There's a long way to go before people need to be really concerned.

I think it’s a little too harsh to say that San Van is a poor design decision.

When looking at it from the context of the older maps? Yeah, it’s nowhere near as expensive or organic feeling, but it isn’t bad per se.

I think that when we have the isle of Grom (and potentially other maps) available to us, we’ll be able to come back to San Van with a renewed appreciation for it.

Whether we like that or not, whether we wish it was different or we wanted larger maps or whatever it may be. They're hitting that they've said they're gonna deliver.

What people are almost asking them to do, is mid-way through the roadmap, pivot from their commitments and redo a new roadmap. I can't ever see that happening.

Season 4-5-6 may be very different, parts of that may include the larger maps and things ya know. We'll see.

Yeah, for me, I'm finding myself spending a few hours each day at different spots trying to get new lines, find things to do.

Get some clips to share with friends and things. Eventually, I'll run out of places to go which is my main worry, and why my big wish for season 4/5/6 is new areas - and no, I dont just mean rooftops.

Cosmetics are nice sure, it would be nice to have different brands that I personally like, or own, or wanted as a kid... but they won't keep me long term.

Map evolving and growing, and new things to do - absolutely will.

The gameplay itself, is sold as hell - its maybe the best feeling skate game for me. The fact tehy focused on that first shows.

i think this spot pretty much epitomizes what annoys me about this map. so little of that area is actually skateable, it's such a waste

spots hot but the lightning puts me off. i rly just wanna skate sunny spots. im a bit bummed over all the high buildings that blocks the sunlight, but i bet thats bc of all the rooptops gonna be lit soon.

i basically spend all my time on the wesf half of the map just bc its so annoying to try and find good lighting for pics in hegemont sometimes and especially brickswich
