Ahh cant I actually got this mac for programming ( my bread and butter ) and I thought I can squeeze in some gaming sesh, but I guess not so I was pondering over getting the steam deck / maybe nintendo switch? idk, but carrying two laptops when going out to work thats a recipe for a herniated disk

In terms of consoles Im like 20 years into the Xbox ecosystem so i prefer that (and the Xbox controllers) but atm i think PS5 is actually the better choice.

I’ve used both Xbox and PS5, and I feel as though Xbox won’t be the same in a few years. I feel like PS5 will continue to optimize hardware, but Xbox I feel like is leaning into and will continue to lean into Cloud gaming, focusing the next console on immediately cloud gaming as opposed to hardware.

This is all speculation based on rumors and tidbits of knowledge I’ve heard over the last year-ish

I will never stop going on about this point, Xbox controllers joystick polling rate is abysmal.
I used to call it latency but that’s not the issue. It’s legitimately the polling rate for the joysticks, it’s not great. It feels latent because of how slow it is to respond in my opinion
