i mean, yeah, probably. they need to have an idea for a challenge, figure out what exactly it will look like, program it, test it, name it, make sure it shows up on the map correctly, if they want different Vee dialogue then that needs to be written, voice acted, perfected, and implemented. and each of those steps is probably a different person, and it all needs to be approved at several stages. lastly, they can only push out updates about once a week at the speediest due to xbox's strict update approval process and needing crossplay parity. all of that takes a lot of time that is better spent working on things like matchmaking features

a lot of times there is separation from the developer of the game and the publisher but in this instance the developer is under the publisher so it's all the same train really.
normally a publisher can suggest things and offer ideas but in this case they can probably just say "no, do this"

I've had moments of me going for a prewind before I've fully gone into ollie position and I'll manage a powerslide up the quarter pipe, but that happens so rarely now compared to when I first got into pumping /w prewind on. And I feel like those input errors occur more due to server stuff not my inputs

The one that really gets me is front/back flip rotation speed seems to be locked to you should really ONLY ever do 1 flip. No matter how high you jump from.

Like, again, real life, sure, we don't have people doing double back flips on a skateboard. Heck, a single body flip pretty rare unless you're doing something like a McTwist in Vert for arguments sake

This is what I do as well, drop in fakie, ride the outside rail and you can pretty much not touch your controller for the first 20 seconds of the challenge.

Nosebleed hack. Dismount is still kinda hard if you go to fast though. The rail transfer is still finicky but you don’t have to do anything but ride the rail through. It registers like 2-3 seconds after so if you reset too fast you won’t see it complete

I like tail slide on the way down as it slows down the speed just enough, but you need to transfer exactly at the right time or you bail, but the lean out works there. Can also quick drop some stuff to make the gap smaller to land flat OR make it a wallride and not get flung out

im doing stokin grouches (again) but i dont think the game's teaching of mechanics is sufficient to 100% goals on this challenge without banging ur head against a wall and getting lucky

yeah with those you want to hold the direction and do the input motion like as you're landing on the rail/ledge

also with tail/noseslide you can just rotate your body instead

with stokin i find that easier

best advice for learning certain grinds is make sure you got plenty of height to work with (try holding down your ollie before flicking up to get some more height) and then when you’re in the air (make sure you’re facing the right way (fs bs) ) find the right speed to set up the grind, it’s like not super slow but not fast enough that it enters a flip trick.

Also what helps me is actually looking at my controller and looking at what i’m doing, it’s weird to not look at the screen but just when you’re learning the grinds it helps a bunch

also yes the analog stick in the direction the grind set up finishes on

use spread eagle (rb+a) to line yourself up to the ramp, get into board a sec before the landing so it has time to align the board to the surface, the rest is just making sure your momentum is good - if its steep, try to drop straight down into it. otherwise get enough forward momentum
