I’m assuming we will have additional loot boxes with each new district or island that eventually comes to the game, but since those are likely going to not come for a long time, we will all have enough saved up rip chips to go through the loot boxes in one sitting.

Would be cool if they added more loot boxes to each current district with each new season. Would go a long way for sure. Even if it’s just the generic unbranded gear. Then they can keep the MTX shop all the branded gear and costumes.

Or they could just abolish the loot box system altogether. Instead, they could put all the items into a single shop, segregated by districts. Item rarity would be unlocked by leveling up the districts, and higher-rarity items would cost more and look more unique. Right now rarity has no real purpose.

I'm no guru so my self diagnostic recommendations don't go much further than what I've recommended. I agree it's not optimized which is expected at this stage. Check your temps on games you normally play with similar requirements. It seems like your PC is throttling somewhere. Try Steam download or EA app if you already have Steam. That's about where my suggestions end. Hopefully it gets resolved for you.

to add to this; early playtest I had to flash/update BIOS which did resolve DirectX crashes
(careful when doing this, can assist if required)

and the game itself is very CPU intensive, extreme ways to 'lessen' the impact would be to run lower clock speeds/undervolt(?) but otherwise no way around it, make sure ur heatsink + fan is clean and thermal paste is functional lol

My best advice to anyone is to start learning by doing them stationary. Don't roll.

Hold down on the right stick to ollie, don't release at all.
Hold down on left stick, and swing like you do for a shuv-it.
Watch the animation of your skater move their arms.
Just practice left stick back and forth, moving your arms whilst still holding right stick down.

Watch the arm movements. That's prewinding.

Then do that, and hold the left stick at the left/right most point.
Then release.

You'll do almost a 360 on flat instead of a 180.

Then get happy with it, and go for speed somewhere.

Or, on the road near that bridge is a big divider between lanes, and it goes downhill a little.

if u would like my advice, just find a long enough rail (or build one), set a session marker, and spam slides until u get bored. that is the fastest way to do it by far but still takes an hour or so if starting from 0. make sure to land for a second or two before restarting to marker!!

PSA for anyone here pulling extra people into their challenges and frequently getting bugged challenges afterwards:

One of our ndy locals may have inadvertently discovered one thing that can cause this. Someone who was not experiencing this bug (and usually plays with friends-only join settings) recently tried restricting their join settings so that no one could join without invite. Upon doing so, they immediately began experiencing this bug. I play on invite-only join settings, and I've been having the extra players bug for weeks. Upon switching from invite-only to friends-only, I stopped experiencing this bug entirely. I've run 15 challenges in a row with no issue, which anyone who has been having this bug will probably find amazing.

@full narwhal One of the fixed people here with a minor correction... For me, it seems to 100% fix bringing other people into my challenges. I have not free skated long enough to be sure whether I can still be dragged into them. As soon as my coop was fixed, I spent a couple hours just running missions in peace, so I can't be sure whether I would've been pulled into missions if I had not been running my own.

But yes, switch to friends-only instead of invite-only.

For me, in invite-only mode, my challenges bug almost every time. In friends-only today, I ran 15 consecutive challenges perfectly.

As far as I have seen. So far you cant really be the screw up in coop challenges. If you are having a really bad time at a challenge, the others will complete the goals and you just have to finish it once without doing something extra.

I haven't played OTL though. Since all my friends are not that interested in playing recently 😂
