skate 3 transition/vert is soo good, the transfer of weight from front to back is key in transition skating and skate. just doesnt have any weight to the character model, no momentum, its just slidey

the trick is to grab the trigger on the way down and slowly release it on your way up. i watched a couple videos and started playing with it and it just clicked eventually. if you can time it so that you fully release at the coping you'll fly

For those people, they simply cannot complete the event challenges and therefore cannot unlock whatever reward there is. That really sucks. The OTL recommendation to play with others is fine, but the forced multiplayer is really frustrating.

The map sucks. Idk who designed this garbage. Too flat amd generic. All the previous games had a downhill design where you can easily ride from one side of the map to the other. Downhill. The tutorial map had that downhill design and we all loved it but it's not even accessible unless I smurf my account... on skate... I aint doing that!

okay, so in the case of OTL, since it's specifically designed to be played with up to 3 friends, what would you recommend, to make it fair?

my idea, which is worth about 2 pennies, would be something like - OTL solo: 1/4 the rewards. bigger the party, the more the rewards. (maybe the timer is adjusted based on the number of the people in the party, so it's harder and more rewarding to play with folks, but you could still do it solo?)

i too can have fun skating the same spot and doing different things, but you cant change the poor scaling and design of many of the obstacles and they dont flow well into each other. after 5 months theres still only a handful of areas i can even be like "lets start over here today". like i boot up the game and go to the community parks and try to find something i like.

If you have good Wi-Fi both in the place that you’re at and at the homebase where the PlayStation is kept, there is almost unnoticeable latency between remote play.

It was good enough for a single player gaming experience, but any kind of FPS or online would be a noticeable still, even if manageable

One of the main complaints with season 1 (the pass and events) was that people ripped through the unlockables and had all these currencies they couldn’t spend on anything. So they tweaked the amount we get to make it more of a grind. Which is fine but I think we would have preferred just having more stuff to unlock lol

No hes not wrong. There will be a bench to grind and you crash into a trash can or a light pole right next to the bench. It gives little breathing space. Also the wavy grinds is not fun to grind and too difficult. Also sometimes the ground looks so shiny it blends in and you cant see if there is a curb or if its just a transition this map is really bad and not made by skaters. It is just what corporations think of skating "oh look a wavy grinding platform that is totally possible!!!"

My issue is it’s just so similar no matter where you go and there’s nothing breaking up the monotony. It really feels like a purgatory.

And no, the answer isn’t to just put more ramps on top of skyscrapers or dangling from cranes.

One side of this map could have been a residential area, flowing into a low rise urban area, flowing into the skyscraper financial district. That would have been so much better.

Differing lighting depending on your area

Hedgemont has default Season 0 lighting
Gullcrest has current lighting (Season 2)
Market Mile has a bluer, more clean and polished lighting

Each area feels distinct without any actual map changes

There’s a visual glitch that people do where if you time it perfectly the animation plays to grab whilst you do a flip.

The two animations hit basically…

It looks like a finger flip but it’s really just the top part of the body going to grab the board when it’s already in motion.

I don’t think it’s intended. A few peeps have worked out how to do it consistently tho.

i think one of the biggest flaws in the cosmetic system is that the rarities don’t mean anything. it’s literally just a color meant to tickle your brain.

if cosmetics followed a real rarity system with relatively similar pricing; items would reflect effort, detail, or uniqueness, i think people would naturally accept it more
