Is that unlocked through leveling up doing missions I did a bunch of the blue ticket missions are the orange building currency when you look at the battlepass locks is the orange markers you do that aren't the blue tickets? Or how exactly do I unlock things in the battlepass?

orange stuff opens the boxes at the bottom of the store menu, basically everything unlocks rip chips. blue stuff is what you need for the battlepass, and that requires the weekly/seasonal tasks (check the menus) and the challenges with the blue ticket icon on the map

What I do find odd is that you get 80% more rip chips when playing with friends/co-op. I don't want that every day. This is probably only done because you then attract more people to play, thus potential spenders in the game

Session has the most active single player club of any game on xbox cause what you can do with the replay editor you get 300 placable drops. can change every single setting down to the T. break boards so on.. 1000 people could kickflip the same stair set and it would all be diffrent. it picks up the tiniest touch which is a big part of skating.. style..

they’re like the only two different examples of how a skate game can be made , what else can be more different than those two within the skating game genre

The original Skate really felt like it was subtly positioned as the opposite of Tony Hawk’s, so at first I’d say the whole approach was meant to be more grounded and realistic.

But like most devs, they eventually wanted to appeal to a wider audience, so Hall of Meat and Hardcore mode ended up giving the series a pretty good balance. Skate. game play is still similar to first game in the franchise so its between a sim and an arcady , its not a complete arcade style .

i always viewed thps as truly its own concept , no other game like that . while skate was a straight up skateboarding simulator , and had plenty value as a new type of skateboarding game after years of playing thps

If you're talking about the basic ones you get for leveling up your overall rip-score, there aren't that many people who have the "very last" of the Skater Characters banners. Highest I've seen is tier 5 at around that 19,000 mark.

& Yeah, the quarters worth of SVB being some of the most expensive Tix items in the pass is pretty annoying.

Same, I get that we can earn from dailies and weekly tasks with challenges. It still feels ridiculous that I'm 15,000 Tix off with every S1 challenge completed and having sunk more than enough time into this game trying to complete every tasks that I can.

The cherry on top is that I spent money to get this S1 pass and having bought the Founders Deluxe too late, I'll be required to complete this in S2...It shouldn't be a mfin 2nd job to complete S1 for these lousy af items.

Aye - I think there are some core features that exist but aren't quite to the tune that people want. i.e. there are a few mega ramps but the landing zones don't have much going for them after the fact. I do think the one that is rotating in the park is pretty fun to mess around on. Hopefully player made parks will come soon and have features that make it easier to build your own

Pretty much this. For me Season 1 and all other updates were pretty much lackluster and very boring.
I have not logged into the game at all since the season 1 release (even bought the battlepass but did not complete anything)
I still have 5k+ SVB i have no use for lol
To me, season 2 is more of the same stuff I personally don't care much for. I understand loads of people were waiting for keyframes and voicechat.

It’s the live service thing that’s why the slow start, plus it seems like they’re turning back on a lot of creative decisions. Season 2 trailer seemed a lot less kid-friendly unlike the early access trailer and the season 1 trailer. They should’ve launched with at least one PvP mode tho because comp was such a big scene in skate 3 and that’s why people played it for so long and still do to this day

Personally I feel more than enough players have vented their opinions on what's missing in the game.
Even during the playtest we were pretty vocal the last itteration of San Van was pretty bad and needed some sort of megapark and downhill races.
Either EA has different data and the mayority of the current players don't care.

I mean this super nicely but when this happens to me, its usually a skill issue on my part. I started to hold the joystick with my pointer and thumb for manual to flip to manual stuff if I was struggling for it. You can also try to set the last joint of your thumb onto the controller for some form of leverage that can keep your stick stable too

Only skaters have impervatek. The pedestrians jump out of the way as if you're going to hurt them if you get near them, which implies to me they don't have access to it. According to Vee, we are a different and higher poltical class from the normal people walking around. On the flip side they're legally allowed to hit us with cars so we win some and we lose some.
