where some folks misstep is:

• thinking they can only say positive things; nah, we need to know the negative stuff (again, constructivelly)
• lobbing insults/abuse; never appropriate
• discussing moderation in-channel when being warned about it

like, the rules aren't hard and the mods don't like having to remind folks of them, repeatedly. and no one wants folks timed out or banned. there's 10s of thousands of people in this server that communicate regularly and have never been moderated, and they've share critical constructive feedback.

They made their first impression on potential fans and fumbled it. In this day and age when it comes to free to play live service games, you need to NAIL that first impression or players are going to immediately find something else. Going F2P and early access when also focusing on cosmetics and MTX is why they fumbled. A good workaround is saving it to the drafts, closing it, then reopening the player and loading it from storage then clipping it. If you scrub too fast through footage itll get stuck somewhere sometimes.

you have to put yourself in a bugged state by landing sketchy. easiest way to do it is to get air, spin and tweak a grab in the same direction. let go of the grab before you land and you'll still be spinning when you hit the ground. the next handplant you do should be bugged. if you keep doing handplants back to back from here, each one will be bugged.

In my opinion a good and fair solution would be to give all the premium skate pass owners the tix to unlock all the items and the SVB that was originally said. Then start over in season 2 where the amount of currency you earn matches properly with the price of skate pass items.

I am absolutely done with this trash game! 4 different currencies and nothing new to buy, all areas maxed out, repeated challenges daily and that that very annoying VEE!!!!! Honestly how have you managed to ruin what was such a good game? The foundations were there, all you had to do was create a new town and keep everything else pretty much the same, just a few new challenges and new customisable items, new clothes and instead you introduce some pump AI voice who just boils anyone’s blood to the point of rage quitting and all these lame dead “skate” items! Like bro, no one wants to skate in pump shoes from primark and equally no one wants some chinese board with skate on it! Like honest question to the creators of the game, what was the thoughts behind this game? What was the aim? The main objective? What did you want to achieve with this game? Context on my absence:
I’ve spent a lot of time bouncing between balancing my school and personal life, and lately I’ve been struggling a bit emotionally

I don’t really need sympathy or anything, don’t worry <3 tough times are pretty common for me (its a big part of why I focus on spreading positivity) and when I get overwhelmed… I have this bad habit of isolating myself from everything

The last handful of days I’ve been in voice chat with my boyfriend, just him and I. We watched our show, mostly just co-existed and played our grind games, that kinda stuff… it was nice, I got to relax a little and just be myself.

That said, stress is always present in my life, the endless act that it is ^^’ I do my best, though sometimes my best struggles to keep up with what’s needed or asked of me to move forward.
I’m grateful for Wyatt (my partner) because of his indifference to whether I am at my best or worst, I know he will love me regardless, he’s just… like that. I treasure it, even if it’s not the reason I love him.

I’m feeling a bit better as of today, but I may not be hyper social for a bit, but…

This game doesn't strike the same confidence in me though, the fact that the playtesters have been communicating to the devs for like 3 years, and the game has been in development for 6, and none of those changes have been made.. yeah. You gotta feel bad for any dev team under EA. The company is probably pushing them hard on monetization structuring and leaving them less resources to evolve the aspects of the game we want. EA do this with almost every title they put out these days.

The roadmap shows how little they have in the pipeline content-wise. It seems like it's mostly just gonna be Skate passes and basic live service style drops/events for the next several months.

We’ve seen it in the art redirection for before launch. Remember when the ads were looking like Session? We complained about the look, and got different lighting to look a bit more like Skate 2 lol.

That’s our skate culture fix, I suppose. It’s not the fact that almost none of the apparel looks at all like the distinct skater fashion that’s been cultivated since before most of us were even born.

My thrasher hat, the Indy beanie that I paid for, the Creature shirt that I paid for, my Creature board that I paid for, the Indy trucks that I paid for, the free girl wheels, the baggy black cargos, and the baggy blue jeans.

Even just simple things like photo, film or contest challenges will add to the atmosphere of the game. Add pro skaters in, have them say a few lines and provide a unique challenge, then have their AI skate around the world so you can run into them occassionally. Even take their outfit and sell it in the store or in a skate pass. There's so many easy things they can do to build out the world, it's like they're not even trying.

I loved the 2000's NFS games because you had a sense of progression and evolution, start with a trash car and upgrade it while you're racing against characters inside a story. Horizon is literally 'heres a big map and here is a bugatti veyron given to you for free in the first hour, have fun!' its soooooo boring.

They've cut as much customization as they could so that they could make multiple cosmetics to sell instead. Like the black cap, they have two separate items where one you wear it forwards and the other backwards. It's such a disgusting way to design the game.

It’s kinda funny how people keep complaining in here like they could code the game themselves in a week. The devs at Full Circle are literally still hiring and building both the main game and the mobile version, good stuff takes time.

And honestly, whining about microtransactions won’t change anything. If there’s stuff you don’t like, just remember it’ll probably get fixed down the line. I was getting a bit bored too, not gonna lie, that’s why I started a crew. Now the game’s way more fun. The main issues that need to be discussed way more and fixed urgently, are the soft locks and the unwanted background purchases with SVB.

The first issue still persists after weeks, the latter has been on “investigating” for over 2 weeks now and it still happens to people.

I don’t want to be a complainer, but this issue is holding me (and probably alot of other players) back to purchase the second founder upgrade, or more SVB.
I’m already missing 500 SVB and I’m scared that if I get more, the game would maybe make me lose even more by purchasing a whole bundle or something, unwillingly.

These issues should have way more priority than for example, deleting a peach puree cargo pants.

The game itself is very fun and cool, the bugs and glitches will be fixed due time, and there will be a hell of a lot more content and gameplay eventually. So this is no hate.

I want to support the game with irl money, but in order for me to do so, I kind of want a refund on the lost SVB first, and somewhat of a fix that prevents it from happening again to alot of us.

Keep the feedback going, just don’t hate or complain about stupid little things.

yea some of the map feels like "too good to be true" for skate spots, like itll just be the most perfect rail on like a 20 set, and i feel like irl ur not finding that 😭 maybe like 2 stairsets in an entire city will be that large (tho tbf skate 3 had that school district with HUGE rails)

it does kind of feel weird. its like "full of life" but doesn't actually have any "life" . like the stage in hedgemont is cool but nothing actually happens there, and you can play music anywhere in the map so its not even like you get a unique audio experience or something being near it

Like in real life you're taking areas of the world that aren't designed to be skated, and you work with it creatively to perform tricks. In the game, literally every object or incline was placed purposefully with the intention of skating it. There's no spot that has an obstacle in the way, or requires you to change your approach.

It feels like a THPS game in a way, but in THPS, well not only was it an arcade series but Neversoft also purposely made the levels flow very well and still feel realistic, which was a feat. Look at Manhattan in THUG for example, it flows well and has famous landmarks of NYC.
In skate it was you against the world- you could imagine a racing game in here or a GTA clone... but probably not a skate game, which is what made the older games so unique: realism. Imagine yourself driving in San Vansterdam: you'd just be on a perpetual loop with nowhere to go.

There’s just no variety in the map. San Vanelona and Port Carverton had different areas that all felt and skated different. Whether it was the schoolyard, the university, suburbs, cougar mountain, the mega parks, stadiums, downtowns, or backyard pools. If you hit up a different area it felt like a different area and offered something unique- from the physical setting to the skating. This map is either urban rail or ledge, or beachside beige rail or ledge.

I keep thinking of the Hus Parking. Skate and Skate 3 had parkings (Parkade and Park 'n Play) and they felt awesome, they were vast and you could do a lot of stuff in them. In skate '25, it's just a big ramp on top with nothing underneath

exactly, u dont feel any different being in 3 of the 4 regions , and the only different region rn has almost no playable content , so if u care about progressing in the game u have to sit in the same spot and do the same challenges in the same space 24/7

The map honestly feels more like a theme park made for skaters then an actual city. Like the whole place is designed to encourage skating it just feels fake. In skate 3 there were a few places that felt overly artificial as well but a lot of the map felt like a real town

It looks fairly similar to that Fun City map that was in early builds. I honestly don't think it'll be playable, and if it does end up being playable, it'll probably be in Season 642

I emulated the three games before early access dropped and it's been a crazy mental exercise to unwrap what specifically about the previous games made them so good in comparison, and I always come back to the atmosphere, immersion and the gameplay loop. Feeling like you're skating in a real world, with ordinary obstacles, surrounded by AI pedestrians and security that push back against the player. Working your way up gaining sponsors and deals, encountering pro skaters, playing photo, film and contest challenges that are all designed with immersion in mind. Capturing photos for magazine covers, competing at the X-Games. Even the hall of meat challenges as ridiculous and fun as they were, were still based somewhat in reality as it pertained to the Thrasher brand.

This game has NONE of that.

I was playing skate 1 recently, and while in the Suburbs I could hear lawnmowers in the backyards of the houses, and in the Res I saw birds on electrical wires. It's silly details, but they add so much.

Also, in the older games NPC could do multiple stuff: they could do the basics (walk, run, fall) but could also drink, eat, use cameras, attack you, read... now they're just on their phones
