It feels like you’re playing where someone else did the whole story and you’re now just left doing the extra challenges and spots and it definetly feels that way listening to vee, talking about how M corp used to be in control. No the pre alpha was better it had a map that had hill bombs and no ai talking no forced tutorial no LOOTBOXES The mechanics felt just as good as they do now. You could pick any color to the clothes and talk in chat. Player collision could be turned on if you wanted

Oh the first I went snowboarding was kinda funny because I hadn't learnt how to stop. I'm genuienly surprised I never broke anything because I ended up going further downhill than intended. I'd say skieing scares me more than being on a board.

You only fall back or forward. You won't be risky enough for a side fall as a beginner. If you do, it actually doesn't break anything usually. It's a nasty sprain though. The boots are looser than people think.

It’s honestly not bad. You forget it quickly and the board feels way smaller than it is, once it’s under your feet.

Common injuries with snowboarders are wrists, butt/back, knees and head. Almost never feet and legs.

@modern hedge honestly, imo, a long sleeve shirt is enough. Maybe I run hot, but at my local mountains are only -5 PEAKS and at that temp I'm hotter than it is cold. If you want to go to MASSIVE parks and stuff, you will have to wear a coat. I usually elect for a hoodie though, and still sweat puddles. Sometimes I take a coat up only on my first run to get me warm.

no way. You don't want your legs to leave your snowboard when you fall. That will mean broken legs and angles guaranteed. You might think "well for skiers it works" but the entire movement and directions and stance is totally different. I understand the idea of staying strapped in when you fall is scary, but it's really not. When you snowboard, the first day is an attack on your knees and arms. Your legs are fine, believe me.

Quick pull bindings (not sure if they have a real name LOL) are fire. They are magnetic straps that you can pull easily. If I had like a way to REBIND easier I could probably do a 1 foot grab lol with some minor air. You will also NEVER eject your feet accidentally with them. Strap in and out in about 3-5 seconds.

I already did my time with Skate. I played daily, I have over 140 hours on steam, probably equal to that on the playtests, I reached the 10/10/10n I have done and created player challenges to keep playing, and for them to now change the RIP chip score and say no it should take me 4x longer to earn what I did daily for 2 months straight, that's a slap in the face EA/Full Circle. Players shouldn't be expected to daily grind your game for multiple months, for hundreds of hours just to complete a collection of in-game items. They should be incentivised to return for new and exciting content, for new items, new objectives, new rewards.

we love the gameplay when it comes to skating. thats the only thing people praised was the mechanics.

They’ve already hit 15+ million players in a few weeks. Even if only 5–10% of them buy a Deluxe Pack or some SV Bucks, that’s tens of millions in revenue.

The dev costs were probably under $100M, so it’s already close to, or past profitable. From EA’s point of view, the game’s doing exactly what it needs to: bring in a huge casual audience that spends

It’s hosted by EA, and they have shut the servers down multiple times, and brought them back. When they do that you can’t play online. It’s not purely peer to peer hosted. Without EA support you can’t play online. So my point stands EA is still hosting skate 3.

they shut down the backend ... all the backend holds is you player data ... when that is turned off you cant sync to ea to download your player data and then play ... it isnt servers that hold the online session and assets like modern games ... these backend servers that hold basic information are incredibly cheap to uphold versus modern session hosting servers

you can host the backend proabably from 1 single server pc in your house with good internet and lots of storage

With all of the challenges and everything seeing how they are struggling to balance the progression with playing, I think once we finally get some PVP modes it'll be a lot easier for everyone and a smoother experience. We are in the growing pain stage.
I repeat what I said in my video. If you want a polished working game you don't have to fight with, you'll have a much more enjoyable time waiting a couple months
