My take from the update after only playing a hour

• some missions are bugged to where you do all the things it asks you to do and it doesn’t say it is completed
• why tf is half of the new cosmetics behind a paywall
  I usually like to do my challenges for the day then skate around. I can’t do that anymore because the challenges don’t “complete” so it scratches my brain in a weird way. I just want to play an update that was hyped up for over a month almost. It just seems like they slapped together something in 72 hours and said ok let’s release it to the public and see how they react. I get that it is technically early access and it still needs time for it to be perfect. But when a game was hyped up for 5 years and it constantly gets responses like what is going on in this discord rn. It just screams that this was just a joke of an attempt to get money out of people.

This is a valid complaint imo since there is no reason to separate hat placements or clothing colors for anything other than to try and extend the game's content through the boxes and/or try and suck as much money as they can from us. Ill clown on people whining about the game being woke or gay or whatever, but this is a legit thing to be annoyed about. If a sequel in a series has less features than the previous games, thats an issue. But when the withholding of features is meant for the purposes of wringing out our pockets or adding filler content, then thats just not respecting your customer-base either.

I do like the style of the skins tho. It differentiates itself from CoD and Fortnite plus ive seen people worried the mishmash of crossover styles would be bad. Isaac clark is a good example of how to do a crossover since they're inevitable. Granted the price is wack and ill never spend $30 on pixels

Agree, but when you release a season 1 in early access and it funtions like dogshit from a major corp like EA it is unaccepable. You can't have some parts of the game work and others not. You cant have some challenges work properly and some dont. You CAN"T charge money for a "skate.pass" and have the co-op section of it being completed NOT WORK. It rips 20 tickets off every challenge when it MALFUNCTIONS the way it is. If it's not ready to be released, then don't release it just because you want to RAKE more money from the players that you are already trying to gouge. Or i just know how to spend my free time and have a good time regardless of the fact I don't enjoy the MTX lol. As long as I can skate around and it feels good I'm happy. Some of the clothes suck sure but nobody is making me wear them. I got a pretty fire fit on atm and my board looks cool, nothing more I could ask for. It sucks some people are still softlocked and I hope those issues to get fixed soon because it is ridiculous its taken this long, but I just think everyone set their expectations WAY to high with this update and pass. We never got promised branded items and we got a pretty clear trailer showing the items in the pass and such.

people often describe it as fortnite with skateboards. with that analogy, fortnite also had battlepasses when it was in early access. a LOT of games when released in early access did not work 100% intended but from my point of view they are trying to improve on the game and also add things to keep it fresh and fun. there will be fixes to those tix mission no doubt before the season ends. my arguement is nothing towards defending EA in any regard, im simply defending a game recieving large amounts of unprecedented critism that has been released in early access. ive said before, ive played many games released in early access and they bugged out like hell but over actual time the bugs were squashed. i mean i literally had to wait months for new patches for subnautica below zero, i am quite glad to see they are attempting to fix some of the bugs so quick, majority of bugs cannot be fixed as a whole as in it will work for some, some not and thats just how game development is. people can cry and whine about it but seriously if it is that bad they could wait a year or two or however long it may take for full release when it will have majority of the bugs fixed, new areas, cosmetics the whole lot.

The direction they've taken for their bundles is a little weird in my opinion.

The Reaper for example, no visible character in the clothing (missing head), black smoke coming from the hands, fire coming from the blade of the Scythe. But instead of making it an actual skeleton they use sweatpants and gloves with a skeleton print on them, and instead of making it a real scythe they use a hockey stick with ductape... The mix of budget cosplaying and fantasy just seems odd to me.

Meat man got turned into a mascot costume, Dem Bones got changed into sweatpants, sweater and a mask, Isaac got turned into cardboard (and didn't even include the cool board he had in Skate 3)... I don't understand why they would include some supernatural/unrealistic features, but mostly change the characters and costumes to be overly realistic budget cosplays.

1. Reinstalled the game
2. Verify the files (steam)
3. Open the game
4. Reopen the game if it loads forever.

With the direction they've taken with making the costumes more realistic compared to skate 3, i would expect the Reaper to be wearing a full black mask (like a morphsuit) or even the skull mask they used for the remake of Dem Bones.

I just dont see the appeal of going overly realistic to the point of making costumes out of cardboard for multiple characters, or changing skeletons to prints on sweatpants and sweatshirts - but then also having a bundle that has black smoke and flames coming off of it.

So now first off that hyped season pass has not ONE good clothing item, and only gives you 400 san van bucks for 10 bucks.

Also now for example instead of needing 5000 rep level to level up you will need 8250. Also missions give 25% LESS rep score and there are less missions.
