PSA : if your running a fairly modern GPU and are getting less than desirable fps, go into your graphics settings and change global illumination from dynamic to static, visually it barely makes a difference compared to the incredible FPS gains you'll receive

On the left stick, pull down and then to the side. I like flick to be off because you'll instantly start spinning in the direction of the left stick once you pop. With flick you'll need to pull down and to the opposite direction you want to spin, then flick

You can pre-wind, I dunno what you're playing on but right stick down to pop, left stick also down at the same time, then swing the left stick a quarter left or right. When you then pop, you spin faster

⚠️ Controller Issue (DualShock 4 R2 Trigger)
Hey everyone, just a heads up! I figured out why grabs in the new Skate weren’t working — the R2 trigger wasn’t registering 100% of the press.
Since the game requires the trigger to be fully pressed down, if your controller is slightly worn (loose spring or sensor not reaching full range), the grab won’t trigger.

✅ If you’re having the same issue, check your R2. Sometimes resetting the controller helps, but if not, it’s usually a hardware problem (spring/sensor) that needs fixing.

This game is cooked y'all. Its not even really the studios or EA's fault as much as I'd like to blame it all on them. Too many people on the internet who care more about completing something or complaining that the freerunning is faster than actually doing what the game wants you to do, and thats skateboarding. Literally nitpicking the game to death because it isn't perfect or a straight up copy of the other games in the series. My final statement then I’ll leave y’all alone. The game is alright, it definitely has a lot of potential. Half of y’all were probably still in diapers or eating your boogers when Skate 3 dropped. I think you can fix the sensitivity for the tricks itself, missing tricks and features fdo suck but i do hope they come around sooner or later to be honest

Though I've played skate 3 im currently having fun with its mechanics and playing it with old friends that play it and are new to it, i think its a great game as is, though it does have it's issues i think its a diamond in the rough and can be fixed like cyberpunk, ive been playing since the game dropped up late at night and first thing i did today was play it lol

It can get buggy. Disable and re-enable it then close the game and reopen. Some settings dont work until u reset for some reason

Try adjusting control settings. I set mine to Experienced mode and disabled/reduced a lot of the assists that are turned on by default. After that it feels just like skate 3 to me.

Also does anyone know if there is a fix on the way for the “waiting for players…” message when starting missions? Only started getting it about a week or two ago.

Theres a setting in camera settings called maintain camera distance, make sure this is off for both on and off board. then theres low and high framing for hip and shoulder view.
