Im not sure if Javelin is sensitive to it but maybe turn off your VPN if you have one.

If not you can uninstall and reinstall the anticheat specifically. Open the file located

C:\Program Files\EA\AC\EAAntiCheat.installer.exe

Select the game you want to uninstall it from or select uninstall all. Im not sure if you have to redownload the game for the anti cheat to be reinstalled or if you can just boot the game. Alternativele, you can reinstall it from their website.

Also, AGAIN, EA is not the dev team. Full Circle is. Full Circle likely won’t tell EA anything else until the fix is found, so EA literally doesn’t know anything else at the moment more likely than not. It would be great if they improved the physics in terms of the speed you get on the ramps, many times being in a bowl you lose a lot of speed which makes air tricks a bit tedious, I feel like you lose a bit of that characteristic of skateboarding which is staying in a bowl for a long time just doing grabs and trying out new tricks, as for everything else, the truth is that I loved the game. After 60 hours of play I can say that beyond correcting that and perhaps adding the Dark Catch Flip/grind that also made the game veryyyyy fun

EA just killed the game. Didn't listen to us during the playtests. Lack of content, lack of skate culture, lack of mechanics, the loot box rewards are so basic and boring. They literally skept to add S.K.A.T.E, death race and other stuff but the skin shop works very well. And the only online playing is such a shame. Means if the game does not match the amount of money they're aiming, the game can shut down quick. The Crew is a good example of this.

Also, they've increased cosmetics price between the playtest and the release, and, at the start it was planned to let you buy cosmetics with in game OR real money.

They're clearly here to make money, not to give you some nostalgia of the pasts games.

i had an additional message with this, but discord deleted it. i wanted to say that these megathreads do nothing, and from the looks of it the devs dont do anything with them. the connectivity errors have been going on for a while now looks like it. the oldest posts being from 20 days ago with no help whatsover. i have three in game hours on steam now. all of it spent looking at the starting screen or the "852146987 - failed to connect to EA servers". more hours have been spent on trying to see if there's a fix on my end, all to no avail.

You can make money by releasing a 60$ game, but it's way easier to hope that your unfinished game must be f2p just to sell 50$ cosmetics until the servers become empty and shut it down. Same, tried everything honestly but just doesn't fix it. Full screen, 50% game resolution, low graphics. Usually doesn't do much. Restarting game with setting saved can help too and put you on a less busy server. The first area is laggy to play at rn for me, but on the other corners of the map it's buttery smooth. As someone who played skate 3 on the xbox 360 long enough to burn out the disk (twice), I do genuinely believe that this game's mechanics hold up to 2 and 3. In some ways I like it more than 3, in others less. (footplants are still weird, except the bean plant for some reason??? That one works right but the others dont). I think the lip tricks are really fun, the reverts and landing reverts feel so good (maybe a strange thing to fixate on, but I can't get enough of that sliding sound)

I absolutely get that and that why I said to those new players they seem to be catering to send it... I didn't necessarily say that but I mean it. Mt grief only comes from not being able to (yet) hit lip tricks in a park sesh and there's a lot of og players that aren't "able" to play the way they want to play so this early access is pushing off the core games that made this remake even possible... So it's like a punch to the face for the guys that supported this game to the point to make it a dream for the devs, I think that's one of a couple issues. That being said there's a lot of new fun mechanics I enjoy... Just not the transition park stuff.. it still needs work

Like obviously we would all prefer this game to have come out when it was completely done, with an offline mode by default, but I'm not exactly going to sit here and be surprised when an EA GAME launches early and the publishers scuttle away, tails between their legs, content to let the devs take the blame for the problem EA created.

That being said - the skate mechanics feel great. I do think the backside no-comply needs its own entry in the trick list, since without being explicitly told how to do it, you likely wouldn't figure it out on your own.

I’ve been playing skating games since THPS1 in 1997, I only stopped with Skate 3 because I sold my PS3. I’ve got a horse in this race too, to a point, but the more the merrier, right? Hello, I have a bug to report. I am unable to complete the tutorial in the city. During the mission in the skate park, I completed 3 out of 4 missions. The 4th mission asks me to listen to Izzy, but the game does not recognize that I have listened to him and blocks the mission. Every time I launch the game, I hear him talking. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but nothing works. Do you have a solution?

But that had no contribution to me becoming a real Pacific NW pool skater Stoner I'm my later years and when sk8 dropped... I've noticed "the people" saying where's the culture they haven't given a real idea... I think they mean my people... The park thrashers the dead beats tbh. We're who we are but we're kind and overly passionate skaters that really had over expectations for this game. For the folks saying that the game is early access and theyll improve it, the only actually noticable difference between this version and the insiders playtest version is they removed the overlay. In fact, there were very minimal bugs at all throughout the whole playtest, these only appeared after launch to public. but thats exactly the thing, there IS no progression in this game. In the previous title for example you come out of a long ass coma, re learn to skate and start your own empire of a skate team, challenge pros and your skater has a story and progression you grind towards, its fun. In this game, you complete a few missions which are just tutorials basiacally and then what? grind out every mission in every city so you can.. unlock loot boxes? to maybe get some nice clothes? or most likely a crappy sticker or obstacle? things that were just included in a skate shop in the other titles. I want to grind for a greater good like board sales or something that builds a story not to put on clothes, I should be able to do that anyway! but hey, you can buy the clothes with real money... i guess thats the point

If we cannot give feedback and speak out about what we do not like about the game (aka constructive feedback) The devs will not see it and the game will slowly die as people will just stop playing. I like how the graphics look overall, but they definitely need to fix a few things, such as:

• Redoing the character models and textures, because right now they look terribly ugly. You can’t even compare them to Fortnite — at least Fortnite’s cartoony characters still look good.

• Fixing the shader issue with overblown lights that literally hurt the eyes.

Other than that, I like the idea. The map looks nice and I don’t have a problem with the cartoony style, they just need to make the characters look less ugly.

thats all well and good but the structure of the playtesting doesnt support this. there were black box forums back in the day for years after skate 3 came out, with a pleothora of ideas people wanted in the next skate, to which all were ignored and the forums deleted after black box shut down. with the pressure and demand 13 years after that, they released a snippet and invited playtesters, a good amount of testers dripped the same feedback that was echoed in those original forums, and a few were added to the games development chain, as in, things they are gonna ad in the NEXT SEASON, whatever that means. They could have taken feedback and worked with it to release something great, but instead the type of release is an Early Access - Work In Progress - Continuous improvement thing. Which honestly to me sounds like a way to release an unfinished game with promises to improve things.

Essentially they said Here! damn, stop pestering us for a new skate game, instead of actaully making what testers and black box forum members talked about for years and years for the love of the game, so I get it from your gamedesing perspective, but also it sounds like ur new here

I am into fashion, I feel like every skateboarder is, because something called intersectionality exists, there is so many facets of skateboarding that go past just making my board flip....
I could skate in anything if I had to, but if my local skate shop told me i have to do 30 back smiths to get the same t-shirt they are giving everybody, or for a chance to get a loot box of unsold common garbage from their store, id not go to that shop

Here’s the thing; if you’ve ask people what they want, they’ll tell you what they already know they like. That’s one thing, player feedback is considered of course but EA have only dug skate out of the attic to make some money and this is how they’re doing it. Innovation isn’t borne of nostalgia.

I’m not at all saying to just say “UwU thank you Senpai” to everything but be realistic. They clearly have a goal and the elusive nature of the development cycle suggests it’s one that on paper won’t be popular. 15 years is a long time, gaming has changed (mostly for the worst). If you’ve ask people find catharsis in complaining about it that is human nature but don’t overestimate where you stand in their vision.

If this game fails, they’ll tell won’t spend hundreds of hours implementing everything you’ve suggested. They’ll can it. EA are known for this. So, this is the question, unfortunately; is this game so bad that it would be better off not existing? If you’ve ask people think it is, you do you. You’re entitled to your opinion. Maybe a better skating game will be made.

Don’t cry conspiracy and complain that they don’t care. They don’t, fact. They never, ever have. Working alongside this fact and taking the joy you can is the best you’re likely to get.

I've played bmx streets and the realistic characters genuinely make the game feel uncanny there's absolutely room for improvement on the models and they've stated they are still working on them but realistic shouldn't be the aim imo

Complaints, yes. Email them. Directly. Then email them again, and again. Politely, assertively and professionally. They’re a large company, they have a complaints procedure. Just do so knowing that you have exactly zero right to tell them how to run their company.

hi,so I have a huge problem when I do the mission "head to the spot near the stage", the game asks me to do an ollie 180 (step 1 of 3), which I succeed, and then I get a black screen with the game sound in the background. I am on PC and have tried both Steam and the EA launcher, and I have the exact same bug on both versions. I have also tried to repair the files, uninstalling and reinstalling repeatedly, but nothing works; the game gives me a black screen every time at the same moment.If anyone has had the same bug as me or has a solution, I would appreciate it.Thank you.

Are you sure you selected the mission in the mission menu? This will show you the marker. If you unselect it, it will not show on the map
