Sprains suck. That's good you've gone in, it's tempting to push through but you want to come out the other end of healing without too many reminders when your body starts aging.

But I know what you mean by the good pain feeling. I had the reminder last month when I got a tooth pulled, didn't want to be out or extra stuff, felt the poprock root pull and pressure pain. Once it was out it felt amazing and I was like okay do more.

It's essentially how some lottery or casino type games are driven. Some might equate it to a gateway to a bad habit or encouraging something in that way. I think it comes down to if you have a problem, it wouldn't have made a difference in impulsivity. I do think there needs to be some kind of heads up or PSA, but not if the loot box is free. Then you get in the mix of putting a reminder of gambling out and you're just using funny money. The psychology of it all would be interesting to learn more about.

Those just came natrually to me at one point. I was going back and forth in a bowl and there was a moment that I just felt when the right moment was.
As nice as it is these days to have youtube in your pocket to learn, I think the quiet moments where you are just skating without intention and just feeling the way you move around a park without tricks can teach you the most.

There is something really nice and meditative when you get past the point of "I gotta learn the next trick!" and enter the "I just wanna roll around" state. The more time you spend rolling around, the easier the tricks come to you
