that template uses a lot of implementation details of Vercel and they changed them not realizing it would break our templates
Since then they've released an official preset which I've updated the react router vercel template to use
I'm unclear why new projects with the old version of the template don't work while existing ones don't seem to break, it's possible they left older projects on the older architecture which was compatible
