I dunno. When the game says it can likely be repaired with a good mending spell and it never works, or it fixes it but lowers the value, it seems broken. I just never had it seem to do anything good when I did the trials.

Check the whole text cause it talks about quality and mending.
Check for the words - restore sheen, effect lowered with time, waters grew murky or so. This means that it should be repaired.
If the text says something like - Enchants settled with time, patina grew with time or with time it dried out and became stronger - don't touch it.

Overall though, the premium magic pass item never seems to match the outfit.
The earrings match the theme, but will be versatile with other looks.

The duelling bots in practice are ridiculously easy this season.
They barely move.
Practice match bots have never been the greatest way to practice a new deck, but now they're almost useless

I think best way to test your decks is practice duels against friends and having them not hold back, thats always been most helpful to me....tho not for duo decks

There was a 'extra' season of frog cards that was launched before it actually dropped on global, I think. So, just like now, you had to use gems to pay for the 'past' ones. That might be what youre thinking of? All the ones launched during the season only cost season tokens

It's just English patch's note being too literate.

In conclusion: You just need tokens to collect 5 cards of the chocolate frog card to obtain it as furniture items. After the event ended, cards can be only purchased by using gems.
