Mr Hexsmith killed someone who admired him because he lost a game of marbles. That’s like sending someone to the shadow realm for losing a children’s card game

It also finally made sense why our character was so upset when the Runes professor said we were very similar to Mr Hexsmith. I thought our MC was overreacting to be compared to a cheater because we get up to mischief all the time, but it’s because he was horrified to be compared to a murderer.

You have to watch the cutscenes. It’s implied Hexsmith pulled a prank and either accidentally or deliberately drowned the boy who beat him in Gobbstones. Most people are saying that it was done on purpose because when he found the boys clothes, he transfigured them so they wouldn’t look like school robes to cover his tracks

After rewatching the opening cutscene, I actually don’t think Hexsmith killed the Hufflepuff student. I think the boy did make it out but Hexsmith obliviated and then tampered with the boy’s memories and we’re actually seeing it in real time.

When the Hufflepuff boy is wandering around the woods and begins to walk on water, this is just before Hexsmith pulls his prank.

When everything melts away and goes dark is when he gets pulled underwater, but because the boy has been obliviated, in his mind it’s just a blank space. Because he can’t remember the awful things Hexsmith did.

The part where he sees Hexsmith and they’re playing under the moon on a romantic setting, this is the memory Hexsmith added/altered. Similar to what Slughorn did with his

I'd actually prefer it if they had the season story direct people to do the other story-finding activities in the order intended. If someone skips a feature, or decides to save sidequests for later, they miss big chunks of the story. It must be so confusing for new players who do the seasons later, when no one is talking about them.

How would they know to go do those other things?
I know I got to the end of the season story and was surprised that it didn't have an ending. I did the sidequest, and that filled in some info, but not a real conclusion for the story. Someone else in my club who is more of a casual player said it was the worst season ever because she thought that's all there was.

It's fun to have Easter eggs hidden, but when it's an integral part of the story, a lot of people need more direction to go find the stuff.

So the normal ratio is 1:1 which is not fair at all trading paying currency for ingame. If it was at minimum a 1:5 then was okay but no, so players found a way to get a better ration and now they want to stop. This is some of the decisions that makes players leave and games fail miserably.

the legendary one is 3280 jewels. epic is 1980, rare is 880, common is 300. total gem rewards (split between first/runner up/top 4) for legendary is 3520, epic is 2100, rare is 930, common is 320

so at best it was a 1.07x conversion rate. doesn't seem that amazing or gamebreaking to me 🤷‍♂️

I've always thought the free outfits were pretty good.
The chessboard outfit, and the Hogwarts fancy robes are pretty nice, and the emotes were fairly equal to the high-value outfit emotes that had been released up to the point when we got those outfits.

It's never felt like they gave us something inferior as a token gesture.

And actually, the season reward and token shop cosmetic items, and the Herbology items, have all been pretty good too. The Bewildering Blooms eye makeup is still one of my favourites

... In general, I think they've done a good job of offering ftp, or lower spenders, items to keep them included. When the gramaphone and option to change your Space music came out, it wasn't too long before they added a gramaphone to Kossa. The thestral gacha outfit had a "pet" thestral emote, which was the first one like that, and then the Sirius Black wheel came out with the dog emote shortly after.
