I can read korean now but I don't know what most of the words mean. Do I have to memorize the words or is their any other way?

however, i highly recommend learning words in context, not isolation. for example, instead of memorizing “사과 = apple”, learn it in a phrase like 사과를 먹어요. [I eat an apple.].

its just something that helps your brain store not just the word but also how its used as well, therefore youre less likely to forget it

i also recommend using tools like Anki or Quizlet to help you review words just before youre about to forget them

im just speaking from experience since this helped me a lot while i was learning korean
