So in this situation you do have the "an" part correct I do believe the prononciation tho would be something more like ddang ㄸ=dd ㅏ=A ㅇ(after a vowel)=ng . Now this is only approximately the equivalent in romanized alphabet the ㄸ sound is usually more in between d and t in korean
Also the ㄸ isn't what make the an/ang sound but it is the ㅏ and ㅇ. If you put the ㄸ with another following vowel like ㅗ you would get 또 = ddo 똥 = ddong
