Hi everyone I'm unsure about whether which of 4 types of grammar rules here should be used in which occasion (V+아/어/여 야겠다, V+아/어/여야 하다/되다, V을/ㄹ+필요가 있다 and V+아/어/여 야지). If anyone could explain that to me I'd really appreciate it thanks! 😁

Various ways to say "I need to/have to/must..." in Korean

Here’s just my vibes
아/어 야겠다 - I gotta do this (pretty casual, and definitely used only in speaking)
아/어야 되다/하다 - I have to do this (pretty universal, expressing a need can be informal or formal, polite or casual)
을/ㄹ 필요가 있다 - there is a need for this ( you’re probably gonna see this more in writing not in speaking)
아/어야지 - I have to do this and it’s a known fact that this is something I have to do (definitely for speaking only, kind of like “I have to do this and you agree”)

아/어야지 a good example would be like,
밥 먹어야지 “you know you have to eat right?”

It’s not a question, but it translates well to right? In English bc it assumes a fact you both know
