Will there ever be an option to get the WH2 UI back for WH3? WH3 UI overal is great but the looks arent that great ( by making it different colours is a great bandaid for now). And will the artwork for occupying/razing etc also be updated in WH3?
Hey! Talking about mechanics! Can you please tell us about Boris Ursus? He did not really partake in the confed race and his entire campaign mechanic was literally “pick the winner”. Supporters are of hardly any use for him. Now that he is a normal lord, will he be in the confederation race? Thanks!!
Can you give us your impressions on how the Team intended Confederations to work?
Currently, they don't work very well for most races in Warhammer 3 - Especially Cathay. Please can you lower the natural discontent between faction from -130 to around -80/-100 max?
Will Archaon be able to become the true "Everchosen"? In previous titles, you didnt even get a buff or a questline to reflect this, he was just "A strong lord" - My thoughts are: Complete the everchosen questline and then the world knows the End-times have begun. - This is Specifically for playing as Archaon.
Can we breathe some life into Norsca while we are at it later? They will be completely destroyed by Azazel early game and become irrelevant and annoying late game as the territory is just so hard to cross. They definately need some love before Tomb Kings or Vamp-pirates
did you guys think about giving the daemon prince the lore of fire with the undivided parts
When you design campaigns or features, are you also considering multiplayer campaigns and how features may work together, when playing this race together with someone else from the same race or another race?

Hello Mr. Alex Correia, it's the first time I participate in one of those Rally Point Questions-Answers things, but since you seems to work on reworks can you tell if the focus is put more on individual lord's factions rework (based on the character's lore, with some very unique inside their race like Morathi or Arkhan), or is it more put on race rework (like we had for beastmen and warriors of chaos) ? I hope I've been clear enough, since english isn't my main language
Why is there no unique mechanics (like Throt's lab, Oxyotl's Hunts) for the new LLs of the DLC ?

The slave mechanic for dark elves seems to be different in wh3. In the q&a video Lokhir didn't have the slave management button and the ui showed a global slave cap. How does the slave mechanic for dark elves work in wh3?
Hey, Alex! Some LLs are moved to minor settlements in the same province when comparing WH3 with WH2 (Belegar for example) and now have to conquer their first major cities. What's the idea behind these changes?
Can you share any info on the fix for the ratio of minor settlement battles?

When it comes to managing new special resources for a faction mechanic, what is the design goal behind how hard it should be to acquire said resource across the campaign?
Alex: Yes modders will be able to expand this feature to other factions. All the upgrading is set up in the database and then linked to the UI.
Bretonnia is my fav faction in part 1 of the game, is there any chance we will see lord packs on it? Or at least free lords/heroes?
Estimate Time of Arrival for Cathay DLC?
Alex: Unfortunately we haven't been able to add any specific mechanics or features behind the race, far too much work to do and too little time to get everything in. Not to say something couldn't be added in the future but we'll have to see.
Will there be new mini-campaigns along with IE including the old factions at some point? It was always a really good idea in my opinion.
Will Sigvald and the various WOC factions have access to their respective cultists, like slaanesh cultists for Sigvald and Azazel, Khorne cultists for new Khorne Lord, with maybe all monogod cultists available to Archaon?
Alex: Immortal Empires will be available to everyone who owns Warhammer 1, 2, and 3. You don't need to do anything more and will be able to access it through the frontend.
Alex: Incredible amounts involving many different disciplines. We always have large expansive ideas at the start of a DLC that then have to be scaled back and refined to fit within the scope all the different disciplines can handle.
Heya! Will future DLC Campaigns take Kislev's ending as the canonical ending, or will they not necessarily take place immediately after the base WH3 campaign, narrative wise?
How will the new mid-end game crises’ interact on the campaign map? For example will they just be a bunch of spawned armies or will they have deeper mechanics?
Can you tell us something about further optimization of the campaign map performance (not end turn timers). The weather effects are especially bad and cannot be toggled.

Alex: We've seen many reports of performance issues. To give an update we are always looking to increase performance it just takes time to track down issues and bottlenecks.
Hey. In historic Total war we can often see horse archer with lance as secondary weapon (ex. Cataphracts in Rtr2, Attila, Three Kingdoms). However, these type of unit is absent in Warhammer TW. Would it be possible to add them in the future? Even just animation set would be amazing, rest could be done by modders. I can imagine units like Ellyrian Reavers remade in that way
Alex: Yes, Sigvald has access to a few more toys compared to Azazel, though I don't want to spoil too much...

Although Nurgle has it share of issues with economy, some of it can be alleviated through plagues. Offensive plagues focusing on attrition however, feel quite weak. Almost entirely useless on higher difficulties. Any plans to make offensive plagues and attrition more impactful?
Have you improve heroes and LL traits to the WH2 level as they were regressed in WH3?
Alex: Just the slider, though there may be blood in more places! Khorne always needs more.
Will there be an increase in how often the DLC's are realeased after IE, or should we expect it to be more like TWW2?
After the huge and really good looking Chaos rework, are you Guys planing in reworking older factions as Well in Terms of mechanics. Ngl the Standard Empire or even lizardmen Feeling kinda empty with this massiv mechanics some of the new factions got.
À fun one what race correlates too your favorite siege or minor settlement maps? And the other one is it a possibility to open up the map editor to the community and use community made maps for domination? I want more maps but I understand you guys are super busy as well.
Alex: This is one of the points being addressed with the changes to War Coordination. You will now be able to create an outpost on any settlement an ally owns, so you are no longer limited to only major settlements.
There is still the hard-coded trait limit of 40 present in WH3, which will be especially noticeable with all the new LLs. Back In Troy this was changed and made moddable in the db, is this something you'd like to do in WH3 as well?

Hello there ! Will generic Marked Chaos Lords and Heroes have access to Daemonic mounts ? Like Disc of Tzeentch or Juggernaut ? The Slaanesh snippets we got only shows Chaos Shrine and former Chaos ponie.

Have you guys considered giving Drycha's/Rakarth's mechanic to Throgg? That way, the king of trolls could recruit every kind (depending on climate, like snow = ice troll, chaos waste = Chaos armored trolls, mountain = stone trolls, ect)
Alex: Unfortunately not, however, I have seen some changes to the character skills colours which I'm sure you all will enjoy. Might not make it for Immortal Empires release but definitely in a future patch.
Alex: Norsca has had a few improvements as part of Immortal Empires, as you may have seen they can now settle everywhere and have had a few balance changes. Additionally, there are new surprises should you reach the highest tier of dedication.
Alex: Very much so and I'll take the time to mention that we've done a pass on all the scripts to make them multiplayer compatible, which means more features should function correctly in multiplayer.
Alex: Yes, there are options to ascend to 5 different types of Daemon Prince.
Not Chaos player can count on something interesting in near future?
I know IE isn’t even released yet, but in my opinion it would be such a waste to eventually not port over all of the good campaign experiences and map from the Vortex Campaign. When it comes to this is it, never say never? Or has it been fully decided to be left behind.
will cross-race confederations be possible where appropriate? e.g. N'kari confederating Sigvald and Azazel
Will we be able to acquire the weapons from the realms of chaos (Slaanesh's Blade, Chainsword, etc.) in IE at all? They were pretty great to come across when travelling through the realms, and they have a power level similar to the Sword of Khaine on Ulthuan.
With the Chaos Marauder model being used so often, first with WoC and Norsca, and now with the newer more unique Marked models, is it possible for the Norscan Marauder skins to get a tweak to appear more "Norscan" considering it's used so much in the Norscan roster?
We will see the post battle settlement options art for the old and the new races in IE?
Since this is the route you went for with Warriors of Chaos and "Monogods", have you ever had any thoughts about doing something similar for a possible Norscan Legendary Lord already devoted to one of the Chaos Gods? Alternatively, are you ruling out the possibility of making such a devoted character for Norsca?
What unique mechanics will Azazel have compared to Sgivald?
How will these end of campaign world events effect everyone? Will they effect the whole world or be specific to a region? How are they balanced around multiple people playing one campaign?
Alex: It's dependent on what the focus is or what needs attention more. For example, the Warriors of Chaos really needed an update to their mechanics so a fair bit of focus was put on improving them, however, we also scoped in each of the Champion's unique differences.
Alex: Nothing major had been updated for the Daemon Prince, however the sword options have had a balance pass to improve diversity.
Will Norsca get a rework similar to WoC level or something smaller? Will it also add new units and/or new mechanics and monsters/daemons to hunt in the future?
since Archaon just exists in turn 1, will the chaos invasion change
Alex: The Champions storyline takes place after the events of the Ursun storyline. So you won't be seeing any portals opening all over the Realms of Chaos map, bar the ones you open yourselves to track down the path to Zanbaijin.

Rift creation like that is only for game 3 campaign, nothing similar in IE if you harvest enough souls?
Alex: The Dark Elf slave mechanics have been changed as part of Immortal Empires, I'll leave the specifics for you to discover 😉
Will the chaos champions be able to recruit daemon lords or heroes?
Will Be'lakor be available to all owners of Warhammer 3 as an flc or is he tied to the champions of chaos or the original warriors of chaos race pack?
Will the new generic dedicated lords and/or heroes have access to their god's unique mounts? So Disc/Burning Chariot for the Tzeentch Sorceror Lord, Juggernaut for the Khorne Lord etc etc.
Alex: Kislev's ending is the canonical ending. Each DLC will have to decide where it sits on the timeline.
Are there some plans to add back the settlement capture illustrations? It feels a waste of resources removing all that beautiful art already in place in previous games for wh1\2 races
Will marked Chaos Lords be able to ascend to Daemon Princes if used by monogod factions, or will this feature be exclusive to the Warriors of Chaos?
Is the new recruitment and upgrade mechanic something you are planning to expand upon for other factions in the future where it makes sense lore wise?
Was the intent for the Iron Dragon's Ogre Mercenary upkeep reduction trait really to just reduce the upkeep of the 1 Ogre Bull unit you could recruit? It seems underwhelming as a faction leader trait.

Alex: Immortal Empires has been a huge undertaking to get ready for you all, alongside this though we have also been working on the Champions DLC and releasing patches to improve base Total War: WARHAMMER III. Essentially we have enough manpower to work on 2 separate projects at a time as well as patches, so you may see DLCs released more often.
What are the changes for Kemmler, Morathi and other chaos aligned characters? Could Kemmler use chaos units without outposts? Krell is LH now?
Alex: Everyone on the design team has a feature or several they'd like to overhaul, it all comes down to where we can fit it in.
Are there plans to release smaller lord packs with 2 LL Like warhammer 2 did. Which will fit in between Race packs or lord packs with 4 LL? Which would result in less content droughts.
Alex: Warriors of Chaos have become very adept at Subjugating factions.
I'm curious to know what was to thought process to choose Azazel to represent Slaanesh in WoC. At first glance, I would have thought it could have been another slaaneshi character
Azazel's tech tree looked very unique. Will we see the same changes to the old world chaos lords and perhaps unique trees for Archaon, Sigvald, and Kholek?
Alex: It would be something cool to do but it is very difficult to get working and resolve all the issues it would have.

Norsca feels like the underlings of the Monogod factions and WoC now, are there any plans to change that in the future or do they remain pawns for greater chaos factions?
Has weapon swapping been considered as an ability for units like Black Orcs and other units in the future at some point? This was a cool feature in Troy and it's something that made Black Orcs unique on tabletop. Would love to see it done in Wh3.
Has there been any challenge when it comes to planning future content because of the scope of the Realm of Chaos map and the inclusion or lack thereof of some areas(such as Southern Cathay, for example)?
I know it's not on the current things to do, but is there a time-table for when we will be able to use Rifts to go to the Chaos Realms in Immortal Empires thereby allowing us to do survival battle with other races which was a fairly big selling point?
Are we going to receive any information concerning the autoresolve mechanics, why it gives so many "close victories", and the inner workings of it? Like, what specific details are considered for the game to calculate it (ammunition, winds of magic, unit type, size, health, lord level... etc) ? I have quite an idea, but would be nice having any actual confirmation on how it works.
Will the various rivers on Cathay be traversable like the river Reik?

What will the Realm of Chaos be like in Immortal Empires? How does one get there and did anything change there?
Alex: Rift creation is part of the Realms of Chaos storyline so you won't see them in Immortal Empires.

Alex: Yes though they use a slightly different system compared to the Warriors of Chaos.
Alex: Archaon, Sigvald, and Kholek still share the same tech tree though it has been completely overhauled and is different from the ones the Champions of Chaos get.
Can chaos faction confederate? Archaon with sigvald or other lords? And can monogod factions confederate when there are more of them?
Will Monogod Spawn and Forsaken be updated at some point? Love to see some visual adjustments for them.
Now that chaos invasion is gone, im curious to know what happens with the final dilemma in norsca campaign, where normally we would have to decide whether to ally with chaos invasion or not?
Alex: It's been mentioned a few times by other designers but the Geomantic Web is one I'd like to update.

Sorry, if this is a duplicate. I heard dark fortress will make Norsca forever loyal. Will making them a vassal deteriorate the relationship with Norsca's former enemies? (Who are usually my allies.)
Question on fortresses - are these tied to vasselizing factions? Let's play video somewhat seems to imply this and my friend and I are split.

With the new CoC campaign taking place after the ursun campaign, does that mean you can’t play a co-op campaign in RoC containing both ursun-race factions and zanbaijin-race factions?
Have there been any changes to Undercities or Skaven corruption?
The team has sometimes allowed interesting Heroes of Might & Magic influences to sneak in.
Fighting rogue armies, searching ruins, encountering treasures at sea, small events granting treasures etc.
Does the team have an interest in exploring this more to expand activities on the world map besides marching and fighting?
is the modding tool kit being released at the same time as Immortal empires, blood dlc and the chaos champion dlc or will that be a bit later?
Is there any chance we will ever see a rework to the trade and resource system so they become more impactful? The system in Troy was perfect, and it would bring so much depth to the diplomacy side of the game. Not to mention, it'd be a great way to create soft unit caps or buildings that could require resources to upgrade.
Alex: Not at the moment, going back and adding this is too large an undertaking to do for Immortal Empires, but is something that might be added over time through later patches or DLC.
will we see more flc characters for monogods in the future? it seems they are quite limited in characters since it is established that aligned mortal characters are considered to be in warriors of chaos which is a dlc faction

Anything being discussed in regards to Estalia Tilea and Araby?
Alex: The Realms of Chaos map is very large as is and expanding it is a fair challenge, and requires a lot of work from various disciplines, though that's not to say it won't be expanded at some point. You may be able to spot some additions to the Realms of Chaos map with the release of the Champions DLC.
Alex: Autoresolve mechanics are incredibly complicated, so much so that even I don't understand fully how they work. I will say though that there has been a lot of work put in to improve the results you get from autoresolve.
Will you add better siege features with more creativity? Such as the example of allowing monsters on walls? Like the Ogres and Trolls in general? Or better removing the "wall breaker" trait for such smaller units that arn't at the same size of a Rogue Idol? Is there a chance for better development? To make Sieges stand out more from land-battles / Minor Settlements?
Alex: Yes, though not all of them will be. The Bastion would be a poor wall if the forces of Chaos could just cross a normal river...
Alex: There are no Realms of Chaos in Immortal Empires as they are part of the storyline for the Realms of Chaos map. Do let us know if you'd like their inclusion in Immortal Empires.
Without going into specifics are you happy with the current state of sieges or do you have plans to improve them? Like large sieges routed units go to the central plaza for a last holdouts, or other ideas to make it more engaging?
Will Orion ever get an animation to blow the horn of the hunt like Imrik?
Will these be any additional siege/minor settlement map layouts added as time goes on? I know there are reskins of the layouts for each race in IE for launch, and I understand the amount of work needed did necessitate reusing map layouts, but will there be more unique layouts in the future?
Is Araby coming this year or in 2023 ?
Have you considered letting people mix and match factions and units in custom multiplayer battles? Like recreating the battle of black fire pass with one player able to control both dwarf and empire units in the same army?
is the storm of chaos (the effect that gives infinite magic reserve and allows for the use of cataclysm spells) in any way represented in the immortal empires map?
Will confederating Legendary Lords be easier for Total War: Warhammer factions in IE than the Realms of Chaos? It's basically impossible for Miao Ying to confederate Zhao Ming, and vice versa. I believe it's also true for Boris trying to confederate his daughter and Kostaltyn. You basically need to own the entire map and even then you need to threaten them.

Alex: Archaon, Sigvald, and Kholek all now start on the Immortal Empires' map at turn 1, the Chaos invasion of Total War: WARHAMMER II is no more.
Alex: Yes the rifts can be modded to be added to the Immortal Empires campaign, new rift networks can be created as well.
Do you have any intentions on releasing any IE specific DLC - such as it actually wont interact with the Realms of Chaos campaign - or will all future DLC be intertwined with that map in someway?
Are quests for unique items in IE still present (WH1/WH2 style) or is it similar to WH3 where you immediately unlock the quest battle/item as soon as you reach the respective level?
Alex: Sigvald has already reached his most perfect form! But no Legendary Lords cannot become Daemon Princes.
Is there any plans to make Boris Todbringer and the Red Duke playable in the campaign in the future?
Alex: Not for the release of Immortal Empires. Though they have been brought up in discussions about improving them and personally would really like to improve them as I've been listening to their audiobooks.
Will we get vampire coast dlc or they are done :?
Will the legendary lords from game 3 get their own high quality portraits, like the legendary lords from game 2 have?
Alex: We have done some investigations into respec functionality and have identified the key blockers we'd need to resolve to make this a possibility. So not any time soon but hopefully one day.

Alex: Archaon and the other Warriors and Champions won't be able to confederate, however, they will be able to vassalize each other.
Alex: Not all Dark Fortresses vassalize a Norscan faction and not all Norscan Homeland Capitals are Dark Fortresses, the majority are though. When you occupy a Norscan's Homeland Capital you will vassalize that Norscan faction, becoming their new master.

Alex: Not for the release of Immortal Empires and I've not heard any plans to change them for the moment but if you do want them please keep letting us know!

Alex: All garrisons have been looked at and changed to a strength level below the current Total War: WARHAMMER III garrisons but above the WARHAMMER I and WARHAMMER II garrisons.
The legendary factions of Norsca can be vassalized with the black fortress? (I hope not)
Alex: Playing co-op on the Realms of Chaos campaign with any of the champions and one of the base races will mean the Ursun storyline is disabled and instead you will have a different set of victory conditions.

Do you plan to do more unique Legendary Lord mechanics in the future (think Vision of the Old Ones for Oxyotl, or Schemes for Eshin)?
Alex: Nurgle gets access to the Marked Chaos Knights but no Daemon mount cavalry.
Alex: All races will have access to similar buildable defenses for the release of Immortal Empires. Expanding the options is not off the table but is not a priority at the moment. We always try to add new siege and minor settlement map layouts, there are a number of new ones released with Immortal Empires.
Is there any chance for changes in how diplomacy works? The thing I am most concerned about is confederation where now you can have standing of +300 and still being unable to confederate.
Maybe giving us option to bribe faction with HUUUGE amount of cash or anything like that? Because confederating now can be a huge pain ;/
Alex: There have been a lot of balance passes over various areas of the game, the difficulty in confederating has been noticed and has been looked at.
Alex: We always look to improve areas of the game that need it, it just comes down to where we can fit the work in and having a design that clearly improves upon them.
Alex: No plans for Araby, no.
Is there a chance to see the return of the old treasure hunts pre-Vampire Coast update? The ones where you must decide between 4 paths to take and each brings to a random result. It would be nice to see them along the current ones because it's a bit weird that in WH2 every settlement seems to be a lizardmen temple when looking for treasures.
For monogods the new mortal units and lords (like Azazel) will be awaible in MP?
Alex: Each of the 4 Champions will get tweaked mechanics from their respective Daemon factions but not as powerful as the Daemon factions. Azazel benefits from Seductive Influence but cannot vassalize through it.
Alex: Azazel's position has been updated on the Immortal Empire map, as will all the other Champions when their blogs go out. But to confirm Azazel starts in Norsca on the Immortal Empire map and outside the Red Fortress on the Chaos Realms map.
Have you considered moving the port building slot to the main settlement building? I know that this has been a request among many in the Community since the first game in the Warhammer Series

With the chaos invasion no more, how have you made sure AI Archaon and the warriors of chaos present a real threat in the IE campaign?
Alex: They cannot, only minor Norscan factions can be vassalized through the Norscan Homelands. However, you can subjugate the factions outside the Norscan Homelands vassals.
Do you guys take notes or inspiration from earlier titles in the franchise? For example, did you go back to Empire TW to see how the sea lanes feature was implemented there? Any Rome: Total War enjoyers?
Are there any plans to include unique buffs/rewards for "what if" scenarios, like possessed Snikch, or Settra defeating Surtha Ek? It seems the usual answer is to give a unique landmark building, which can feel underwhelming, particularly with Nagashizzar.

Alex: Yes, they will be available in multiplayer.

Will you reconsider your stance on WoC confederation? I feel like playing as Archaon you should be able to build up a super faction of Warriors whilst vassalizing other relevant factions.
How effective will the vassals be regarding the Chaos DLC? Will they be able to effectively field armies and take territories on their own without player help?
Is there any reason for monogod factions to be separated from WoC? Its all Chaos and would be lot cleaner to have it under one roof, with varied mechanics for specific LLs.

Alex: The Warriors have become really effective at encouraging their Norscan vassals to take over the settlements they have razed.

I would love to see the chaos lands in immortal empires. As starting positions for the main lords or so
Will we see more "unique" or "Sudo" legendary lords (Allistar the white lion, tomb king tech tree lords, green skin tech tree lords etc.) or at least legendary heroes for various factions, now that most of the official characters have been fully spread out on their own devices? Ya know lords that aren't justified new mechanics but still make the cut potentially for unique bonuses and skill tree?

I have a question. With the new DLC format of having 4 LLs in a pack, will there be a possibility to apply this to rival packs? As in the usual lord vs lord packs, but in this case each side having two LLs? This would work well with the likes of the Dwarfs who still have...A LOT of stuff in lore and other Warhammer media. Like their crazier engineer stuff, runic units, the rest of the Slayer Cult...also hoping for something like a Witch Hunter of Gazul that wields a runic sword like his patron Ancestor God.
Edit: AND YES. Gazul's weapon of choice is a runic sword.
Will we have DLSS/FSR? Could you possibly add more cool animations to asur and asrai dragons? …….Also I have this idea of fire breath in an arc on the ground, maybe you could do that? …………………………………………………….Or wind thingy like the griffin in Troy….I would love dragons to be stronger and harder to get. Will there a chance to remove the out of control imbalanced Bamboo Arcade Towers from all Siege Maps? Its killing the point that a magical tower made out of no where kills my Lords and Monsters out of the sky before I can get to any capture-point. They should not be able to be constucted during the battle/siege itself.
Second - Now that you have answered that the Warriors of Chaos can't Confederate with each other, is it possible that you'll change that? So we can have the REAL Everchosen experience of mastering all Lords? (Same thing can be said with Old/Future content, like Settra and Nagash.)
Wouldn't it be a great idea to have an event of which you get the option to recruit defeated Legendary Lords? Or as Archaon beat them in battle and earn them as his Slaves of Darkness?
