Hey everyone! So as you all know by now, please keep answers to one per question and vote for questions you'd like answered! Thanks!
Will Be’lakor be able to corrupt legendary lords?
intern
Will Archeon have any major changes such as unique mechanics?
What are the improvements you are planning for the blood dlc? ❤️
Do You plan on reworking voice lines for some outdated or lore inaccurate Legendary Lords? Like Throgg who is infamously nerfed in his brain or Alberic that has generic voice lines?
Are the Immortal Empires end game threats going to be external, similar to the chaos invasion, or internal, similar to the portals that keep popping into your own territory in the RoC campaign?
What was the Thought Process to make Be'lakor a warrior of chaos and not a legendary lord under the daemons of chaos banner with Daemon Prince Daniel?
Will it be possible to mark units and if so, will they change visually?
Will a method to respec confederated lords ever be added to the game? I know that's been consistently an extremely popular quality of life mod, and would make confederation a lot more appealing as you'd also get access to a legendary lord, rather than just the territory
Will old Legendary Lords get unique mechanics as well?
What are some areas you think could be improved in the Lizardmen campaign mechanics down the line, given they currently have some of the least liked campaign mechanics among the community?
Is there any plans to implement toggable unit caps for the campaign ? Something similar to the mod Tabletop Caps would be great.
Is rakarth getting more beast units to tame? Or should we settle with what we have with him for now?
Will there be unique campaign mechanics and goals for each LL ? to make each experience different
Will Archaeon himself have any power shifts in his stats to make room for the increase in unit variety in his armies? It's typically him that carries a lot of the battles on his shoulders in WH2 due to their rather lacking unit design
So If read that right does that mean that dlc demon Units will also be available for WoC LL and new dlc WoC Units for Demon factions?
Why Sigvald couldn't join Slaanesh race ? What is your plan for future Monogods LL ?
As you worked on Rakarth. did you have a chance to meet Iwan Rheon at any point? if so, did he have anything interesting to say about warhammer in general?
A question on future campaign options:
Would you consider, in the future, an option to forgo the pre-set units you start with as any given lord and instead give the player a small budget to allocate for starting units in the pre-launch campaign window?
I think this would really help with replayability!
Will: No, only standard, human lords. Sadly no Be'Lakor pokemon collection option.
Will Be'Lakor have access to Daemon generic lords like the Greater Daemons and the Heralds ?
If Sigvald is not part of Slaanesh race. it will be possible to make confederation with Sigvald if you will play N'kari and vice versa? I really want to collect all Slaanesh characters in campaign.
I have heard mentions of an audio rework for older factions (like how say slaanesh factions verbally react to khorne factions) will this happen between game factions, say WH3 races reacting to WH2 or WH1 races?
Will Immortal Empire feature another End Time event ? Will the changes with Daemons and the reworked WoC lead to a true "Ordertide" fighting desesperatly against the "Chaostide" ?
Will sigvald have boosts to relationship with slaanesh factions?
Is there a chance we will see even more mini campaigns for Warhammer 3 like "Something rotten in Kislev"?
Will: He's getting a pretty hefty update! He's got brand new combat animations (including, yes, a fix for that ancient porthole issue), a new spell selection that draws across most of the lores he had access to in the tabletop, and updated items and abilities. He's not getting new mechanics per se, but he does have a cool new effect where each faction he vassalises gives him buffs, including to diplomatic relations with Chaos - so the more he dominates, the more other chaos factions will fall in line with him. He also gets some chunky bonuses for collecting all of his quest items. I think his campaign is currently my favourite in the game, you really get the sense of leading this massive combined horde.
Will: There'll be a slider that allows you to choose the intensity of your blood settings. It's locked to max if you're playing as Khorne (jk it's not).
Will Tzeentch Chaos Knights and Doom Knights eventually receive a visual update in the future to be more different from WoC Chaos Knights and Aspiring Champions? If not, will future mortal chaos units be more visually distinct or more similar to what we already have in the WoC roster?
Will: No immediate plans for Throgg or Alberic but we have heard people's opinions on it. Getting back in a voice actor can be quite difficult and costly so we do have to work on it pretty far in advance. However, we do have some new VO in IE for the new standalone factions - Ghorst, Volkmar, Grombrindal, Sigvald, and Kholek have their own custom diplomacy voices now.
Following up, will there be mechanics for Chaos warriors like Archaeon similar to beastmen blood grounds? To stop the order tide from mass colonizing behind your front line; are there plans maybe to have Norsca like outposts but maybe only in important cities like Middenheim/Altdorf/etc?
Will Sigvald as well have Slaanesh corruption in addition to having devotees and cults same as N’kari?
Most challenging campaign mechanic you had to work on throughout your Total war career?
In the RoC campaign we've seen both Norscan and WoC factions take over settlements in ways that they would not have been able to in Mortal Empires.
Is this change solely for the AI factions of RoC, or will the two races be able to settle anywhere when under the control of the player?
Now that Grimgor has left Black Crag, when is Gorfang Rotgut coming to Black Crag as a playable Lord?
If you give Red Duke & Toddy some love then surely Gorfang deserves some too!
Are there going to be some specifically designed interesting conflicts between factions on the map? We're already seeing Queek and Skarsnik moving closer to Karak 8 Peaks, possibly making it a more interesting conflict.
Will: Lots of reasons! Firstly, Be'lakor does a lot of his operation through undivided cultists and mortals, and we wanted to reflect that and give him the ability to run a full Undivided army, and the Warriors offer a much better framework for that. Secondly, Daniel's mechanics are so closely tied to Daniel himself that trying to squeeze Be'lakor in there would have basically required us to create a whole new race. Finally, the new Warriors of Chaos mechanics are just really cool - once you see them in full you'll be pleased he is where he is!
Ultimately though the category a lord sits under doesn't matter all that much - what's important for us is that each lord offers a unique campaign that's true to their lore. We don't want to let arbitrary categories limit that.
Will: Yes and yes. But we're not ready to talk about the full details on this just yet.
Will: Hopefully yes. There were some technical limitations to do with save games and how to handle things like mount skills that made this more complicated than it should have been, but we've been slowly chipping away at those. I can't promise when or exactly how but it's definitely something we'd like to do.
Has any consideration been put in for making skill lines able to affect outside of your faction? For example instead of buffing a specific cavalry unit, you instead can bolster "melee cavalry" allowing more benefit to Outpost recruits or mixed rosters.
Since compass mechanic is currently affecting cathay region only, does it mean that MY and ZM are not encouraged to expand by design in order to make full use of compass mechanic? (Esp in IE map)
Will: Some, yes. As we've hinted already, Volkmar and Mannfred are getting new mechanics related to the Books of Nagash. But with 86 legendary lords it's unfortunately not possible for us to go back and do stuff like that for everyone at this point when our focus is primarily on improving the campaign as a whole (would I love to give Queek a headtaker mechanic for example? Yes! But sadly we just don't have the time right now). We've tried to tidy up some of the more boring lord and faction effects though - for example, Kroq'gar's old and dull -10% upkeep effect has been replaced by a cool new set of effects that make his Scar-Veterans and Old-bloods get extra bonuses every time they level up. So expect to see a lot of tweaks along those lines rather than full new mechanics
Will: I think the Geomantic Web is probably even more unpopular among the devs than it is in the community - I think we've had about 20 proposals now about how to revamp it! It's definitely something we'd love to do but at the moment it's competing with the truly vast amount of work that we've had to do to get IE up and running. However there are a few changes coming into some individual lords - for example, Tehenhauin will now generate blessed spawnings from his Pyramid and unlocks RoRs normally, which I know is something people have been asking for for a long time. And Nakai has got some pretty substantial buffs to things like his income. So hopefully that'll tide Lizard fans over for the moment!
What’s the coolest campaign mechanic you’ve designed/help design for Immortal Empires so far?
Any new mechanics planned for Vlad von Carstein, like an Empire elector counts style one? If not, anything else new planned for him to make him stronger in combat would be great (he particularly struggles as a foot lord in MP).
Hello and thank you , do you consider introducing new Landmark Buildings in IE settlements ? for example creating the Brightstone Mine in Mount Gunbad ?
When it comes to campaign design, how did you and the rest of the team work to improve upon the objective based format set by the Eye of the Vortex in WH2 in the Realms of Chaos for WH3?
Will any work be put towards preventing factions from declaring war to your vassals, so that they have to deal with you directly? As a Slaanesh fan, I would rather have full control of the diplomacy of my vassals, as its upsetting that by having factions under my wing that should help me I am instead being dragged into their wars continuously. On that connection, is the team aware of the limitations currently imposed on a vassal-heavy gameplay? (such as what if vassals declare war on one another, could that even happen...?)
Will any old world lords, such as Orion, Thorgrim, Wulfric get reworked to be more in line with their TT and lore? also Ariel as lord when?
Oh. Thats great! Will there be more? (I apology for being inpatient for news
)
Will Morathi get (like Sigvald) some Slaanesh units and/or mechanics?
Will: I do get the appeal of unit caps, but it would be a massive change requiring, effectively, a total rebalance of the campaign and massive updates to the AI. And while I'm all for adding customisation, one problem with big toggles like that is that we can end up basically having to support two completely different versions of the game in terms of things like balance and campaign playouts. So it's a real tricky one. I think we'll probably look at less severe ways to disincentivise doomstacking before we go down that route.
Will: Yes - including sabretusks and feral bears! And he's not alone - Drycha will also be able to recruit the bears via her forest spirits mechanic.
Will: Not Daemon units, necessarily. Our current rough rule is that WoC get all mortals and some (restricted) Daemons, while the Monogods get all Daemons and Mortals, and Daniel gets all Daemons but not all Mortals. But that might change.
Will: Sigvald is just a much better fit with the new mechanics we have planned for WoC. At this point in the timeline he's not commanding armies of Slaanesh Daemons - he's a warlord leading primarily mortals, often in tense, complex coalitions with followers of other Gods - all stuff we're keen on to simulate with our new systems. If we'd put him in Slaanesh, he would have probably ended up just being worse N'kari; but by combining Warriors and Slaanesh features he offers something very different.
Besides moving Queek and Skarsnik closer to Karak Eight Peaks (and possibly Belegar), is there anything else that has been changed to better flesh out the race to K8P?
Will: No, only Mortal lords and Daemon Princes. Be'lakor ain't exactly on the best of terms with the Chaos Gods, so bossing around their most able servants might have felt a bit weird.
Will: Sadly not, cross-cultural confederation isn't really supported by the game. Longer-term we'd love to look at ways to allow for more "pokemoning" of Legendary Lords without all the baggage of confederation though.
Will: We've recorded new VO for some characters, but sadly going back and recording all the literally tens of thousands of possible interactions between all the old races would probably eat up months and months of our dialogue artists' time and mean we couldn't make anything new. That's the problem with having such a big game!
Will: Maybe, depending on how popular they are long-term. They're a decent chunk of work to set up and support so we really want to make sure the demand is there before we invest in them.
Slaanesh and Nkari have very diplomatic mechanic with vassals. Would Sigvald also be more diplomatic and seductive as Nkari?
Are you working on DLC campaign mechanics already?
@CA_YUEY Any changes to high elves martial prowess or tyrion/ teclis mechanics?
Has CA mentioned any fix for the campaign issue with the gpu getting really hot and going through fan burst? hoping to see one for IE
This is a small one - but I know someone who will want me to ask it - Imrik has his unique Dragon RoR's; but they are identical to the regular ones. Any chance they could get a look at? Even if it's just a small colour tint change? They are the only RoR which don't have unique cosmetics.
While some people hate the rifts I personally really enjoy the ability to just yeet to another area of the map if I want, is there something like this mechanic in IE to allow for easier early migrations?
Will there be any mechanics updates for nakai the wanderer
What will happen to sarthoreal and the maze keeper (the two lord of change lords from WOC & norsca)
Will we get to 100 LLs or 100+ LL with the future DLC packs and FLCs?
Will the 'build a daemon' mechanic you guys used for Daniel the Daemon Prince return to the game eventually? Either as a DLC mechanic or just employed for cosmetic customization for other lords or units?
In the last blog there is a mention about monolithic settlement in Kholek segment. Did He got any special mechanic? Something similar to Beastmen?
Will the main protagnist (faction) karl franz get a new voiceover since he's the main part of the game
Are landmarks getting looked over and how many new ones can we expect for most factions?
I assume the Ogre Kingdoms will have a new waaagh trophy since they are a brandnew race, while cathay and kislev will most likely just have the generic "human" waaagh trophy
but what about the monogod factions? do they have the same trophy as norsca and beastmen or do they get something new like ogres (probably) will?
Is Kislev's dependence on the 3 major cities going to be kept in Immortal Empires? It feels like it might prevent the faction from being able to explore the big world available to them. Second smaller question: why do Kislev markets cost so much? I don't think there's another income building in any other faction that takes 80 turns to pay for itself. Thank you for the wonderful game!
Are there any update/tweaks on mechanics of bretonnian faction? i hope there will be some new stuff for bretonnia on the future
Will: Both Warriors of Chaos and Norsca can conquer anywhere in IE - however, WoC will have limited building options outside of special Dark Fortress settlements, which are placed at notable lore-appropriate locations across the map - mostly in the Chaos Wastes but also in places like Middenheim and Brass Keep. They've also got some new tools that allow them to use allies and vassals to help shore up their less defensible areas.
Will: Yes. The new big horses are just the start. More on that soon.
Are there any plans to bring the narrative elements of past DLC lords to the current game, perhaps as a "narrative toggle" mode, such as Malus vs Snikch campaign, Taurox vs Oxyotl, Markus vs Nakai, etc.?
(Both the in-game cinematics and the gameplay elements)
Will the Krimson Killaz get a movement speed buff so that they're faster than regular black orcs, ya know, cuz the red ones go fasta?
Also, can I just thank you to you guys and everyone at CA for giving us something incredible.
Will Morathi get access to Slaaneshi units or mechanics? And will she have Chaos Corruption or Slaanesh Corruption?
One of the recent blog posts made mention of a "Sarthoreal's Watchers" being a playable faction, which I assume means that we will have Sarthoreal as a playable LL. My question is: Does he have any of Tzeentch's mechanics, and if not, does he have any unique mechanics of his own?
Will: Wood Elves offered a real complex challenge - how do you make a faction fun when so much of identity runs counter to the core Total War loop of constant expansion? Walking that line between what Total War is and what Warhammer offers a constant series of exciting challenges.
Will Wight(king), is Krell still a summon ability or a Legendary Hero?
I wanted to ask if you don't plan to make permanent rift/s in game that would only be used as quick travel from norther chaos wastes to southern chaos wastes, like a quick travel between the two. It certainly would make for quite fun campaign change for chaos faction that could just teleport from north to south and fight completely different enemies then they fought last playthrough.
A bit of a different one, are there plans for AI/MP only LLs like the Red Duke or Boris Todbringer?
Are there any plans for the Vortex to be something we can interact with on the IE map?
Will: While I'd love to hook Vladdy up to the elector counts system, we didn't have the time for something like that. He and Isabella are a really fearsome combo now though - you basically end up with two legendary lords' worth of unique skills applied to one army. And when they fight together they both get increased healing caps, making them incredibly resilient if you use the full range of tricks each of them has.
Are there any plans to make the Daemon Prince gifts and dedication more expanded? For example making more customization options after dedication or make glories relevant after reaching the max value.
Will: Yeah, this is an area where we're looking to improve constantly. We've got a few improvements coming in with 2.0 that should make vassals more reliable and make other factions take into account the master strength.
will Ghorst get any new mechanics? we know about Volkmar, but what about the other half of that DLC?
Will we get deamons princes for each Chaos Demon faction? (as lord or heroes)
Does who is able to confederate with who not a part of the decision process? Hearing you guys say "Ultimately though the category a lord sits under doesn't matter all that much" is very disheartening, perhaps a beastman like mechanic where collecting enough race specific souls lets you confederate the monogod LLs as chaos?
Will there be a chance for a new type of DLCs? Like for example Immersion DLCs that could introduce Musicians, Banner Carriers, Generals to the factions? Or Hero Character DLCs that introduce more Unique Heroes that are tied to things like quests or so? I am thinking about that those DLCs could be Mini DLCs ranging pricewise somewhere between Blood DLC pricing & Lord Pack DLC pricing.
To fill out more of the world, lore and factions, but that don't have that much content that it would be worth to put into a Lord DLC or wouldn't fit there thematically.
Is there any plan to fix the performance and overheat?
Are there plans to make confederating at Cathay (and other factions too, I suppose) more viable? Instead of requiring you to own the entire map, reduce their owned regions to 1, and then to threaten them when all of their armies have been destroyed through battle "accidents".
Since reworks are the topic of discussion, Warhammer 2 added a lot of reworks for factions from the first game. Will Warhammer 2 factions also be getting similar refinement now?
Skaven are rather lacking in the “Vermintide” department and rely a bit too heavily on ranged units as a result, people often complained about the Lizardmen’s geomantic web for one reason or another, and I’m sure if I weren’t sleep deprived I could think of an appropriate third example.
Are there plans to look at these factions and rework or introduce mechanics much as the second game did for first game factions?
Will: Of course not, Morathi is merely a good worshipper of Atharti and all suggestion of Slaaneshi influence is dangerous high elf slander (but watch this space, more news on this later).
Will chariots of Ghorst DLC have active ability buttons and remake of animations/fx? They are superboring to play
Will: We're probably going to move in this direction with future content, but back-porting it to old skill trees would be an enormous amount of work and probably out of scope. It would make our lives a lot easier though, skill trees are very annoying to maintain!
Are there any plans on making some of the minor factions if not playable a little more unique? Im speaking of Estalia, Tilea, Araby etcetera.
Do you think the Malus choice from ME (keeping Hag Graef) could be apply to Monogods LL ? I would like to see N'kari survive even if his invasion of Ulthuan fail. Same for Skarbrand etc...
I think the fact they start with 2 settlements make them interesting for 2 differents starting position : If you want to 1v9 with Skarbrand in Badlands you can but you can also paint in red the chaos wastes from Infernius.
I think it could please every style for the players and also give a chance to the AI, because I fear they will just be a Grom 2.0.
Will: The new recruitment mechanics we've got for Warriors of Chaos give you this really cool sense of building a Warband of hard-as-nails warriors from the ground up. More details on that in the future, but parts of it you'll recognise from other Total Wars...
loving all this info, you guys rock!
Will: We're definitely open to trying out new DLC formats in the future - the 4-lord format of the first WH3 lord pack is a good example! Smaller DLCs can be tricky though as we have to ask ourselves "could we just invest a little bit more and make this into a full lord pack that offers more value to the player?" Doing banners and musicians for our massive back-catalog of units, for example, would probably take as much time as doing a whole bunch of brand-new units, and while the former would no doubt be cool, the latter probably adds more to the game overall.
Any plans on creating "sea lane" like portals from the south pole to the north pole and the other way around?
Are there any replacement quests for Lokhir and Rakarth after their home city was taken by Alith Anar? Maybe an encouragement to reconquer it?
do you know the approximate release date of Immortal Empires? (number)
Will Warriors of Chaos, Daniel and the Monogod factions get some extra interactions with Norsca in Immortal Empires?
Will: Almost certainly. We're already doing some thinking about who'll be no. 100...
The thunderdome occurring in the southern part of my borders is concerning... any reason all these lads and demons are gathering on that portion of the map?
on a more lighthearted Question what factions would you personally love to add to the game but can't due to various constraints? both serious and stupid reasons like for example "i really wanted to add a 40K Faction and turn them fantasy but nobody else would want it...they just kept saying the empire of man would just the normal empire! I JUST WANTED MY SPACEFANTASY MARINES!"
If Archaon is getting reworked animations can we expect other Legendary Lords to also get new redone animations later down the line?
Will the 100th LL be Slambo?
Have you ever discussed adding emergent factions to replace some generic rebels, like what we had in Napoleon? I miss the variety that offered.
Any plans to ad mechanics to the base game factions and make teclis and tyrion or gelt and Karl actually play differently
I am unsure if this topic has been answered before, though I know that it had been asked... but does CA have any plans (as of now) to provide a rework to Vampire Counts? If so, are there any details that you can share with us in terms of what topics they might be addressing?
Will Orion ever have an animation to blow the Horn of the Hunt like Imrik?
Are you satisfied with the current implementation of the Chaos Cults ? What would you change about them ?
Will the hero versions of Vlad and Isabella have defeat traits?
Are there any plans to add more advanced plague mechanics to Skrolk?
Will: Hopefully yes, at some point, it's a very cool system with a lot of potential. The art costs involved are quite high though so it's something that really needs to be built into a faction from the start - it's not something we can easily roll out to old content, unfortunately.
Will: Split-starts are tricky as they require us to basically give up two positions for one lord - and the map is already extremely crowded! We do understand people's concerns about not getting to encounter cool characters like Skarbrand, and we're putting a lot of work into making sure that these factions offer a resilient and consistent presence on the map. I recently saw a campaign where AI N'kari managed to vassalise Morathi, Malus, Malekith, and Tyrion - so having them start on the aggressive is by no means a death sentence!
Is there any consideration to add battlefield weapon swapping to units black orc and possible future content like Crom and the Putrid blightkings?
Since it's a bit unsure from looking at the map, but I would love to know if the Eastern Colonies be playable terrain on launch or are they not traversable just like Ind and Khuresh?
How will Boris deal with climate in his start position? will chaotic wasteland be habitable for him?
There are a number of effects in Realms of Chaos that mention "Daemons of Chaos" (like alliance points from Monogod special buildings). With WoC, DoC, and Monogod distinctions blurring, will effects be a little more clear on what category they effect? Especially since anything that only affects Daniel (DoC) is really niche and not impactful.
Not a question:
Reading all of these is showing how much love and care you all have been putting into this. Thank you, from the bottom of our fickle player hearts. 💕
New game design feature you'd like to be added?
Only wrong answers.
Every time you lose a unit a random file on your computer gets deleted
How do you decide what faction variety should be present in each continent when deciding start positions? It seems like a lot of thought went into it.
How many DLCs / LPs can we expect for this year and next year?
What’s your favorite change, or addition, going from ME to IE?
Will WH3 races be getting more landmarks? Currently, most of them - especially the daemons - have a rather small amount of special landmarks when compared to the average WH1/2 race
Has there been any thought about updating Alberic’s model?
One of my (small) complaints in ME was during many of my campaigns - the same factions would end up being the "powerhouses" to grind against during the end game (99% of the time Malekith). Is there anything being done to ensure different factions end up being stronger in the mid - late game so there is more diversity?
But is Rakarth going to be able to buff those new units? I feel that it's kinda weird that he can only buff dark elven beast, though he has access to such a variety of them outside of his race. For example the wolves he has are really cool, but they get outclassed too soon and are basically unusable later on the campaign. I do realize that this is the case for all of the low tier units, but usually you can buff even the worst of the worst units to some degree whereas those unique beasts of Rakarth don't seem to have anything
Are exalted bloodthirsters supposed to have eyes?
Would you be in favor of doing more 4-Character Lord packs if the upcoming one is a success, so we can see more of our favorite characters from the lore? This would allow for more start positions and fun co-op scenarios. Perhaps a Bloodlines lord pack with each one of the missing Bloodlines; a Greenskins Warbosses pack so Gorfang Rotgut can finally retake Black Crag and Tinitt Four-Eyes can expand his creepy domain across the Empire. Or if we wanna get very ambitious, a SUMMON ALL THE ELECTOR COUNTS pack?
Will you add Spiderlings and Feral Cols Ones to normal recruiting buildings for their respective factions and will the new Feral Bears unit you wrote about earlier available for Kislev?
Will Alberic get mechanics about being a colony?
How will Vlad and Isabella starting together effect the defeat traits for them? Isabella's is one of the most popular defeat traits in the game will it be impossible to get her trait if the ai faction has her as a hero?
Can you expand upon why you put +leadership on an Ogre redline veteran skill the same patch you removed +leadership from veteran battleskills of every other race? It appears you know leadership on gold chevron units is underperforming so why repeat the mistake?
Will the fire effects displayed on khorne's units during trailers and promotional footage (swords, eyes, etc) make it to the base game?
Does Alberic's new startpos come with new VA and a unique model/portrait?
Since you've confirmed that Tzeentch's knights are getting a visual update (Thank God) I'm curious as to whether you are going to or are open to do the same thing with the chaos spawn and the forsaken. And I don't know if I can ask two questions, but are you open to the possibility of giving more dlc to factions that would seem to be small and "complete" like the wood elves?
Will the snakemen of Khuresh (Hinterlands of Khuresh faction) be added at some point into total war warhammer 3 as a dlc playable faction? There is already a fan project going on in where they have created and drawn highly detailed concept art of all the various units for the Hinterlands of Khuresh faction, and so I am curious if it will be looked at or possibly even implemented into the game at some point?
Playing as Cathay will I be able to send caravan through entire world like to Ulthuan, Naggaroth or to Markus Wulfhearth in Lustria ? Are you considering making some special rewards by destroying caravan as Ogre kingdoms as right now it just feels like you wont get anything for going to war with Cathay other then few bucks for destroying that small army. Like they should carry some trade goods so it would be good if we got some items/economy boosts etc.
Will the Warriors of Chaos continue being a horde in some form? It's my favorite part about them.
Super excited for Sigvald! I had one question though. Since he is staying as WOC but he is Slaanesh aligned. Does that mean his Mortal units will look the part for Slaanesh on top of being able to get Slaanesh demons or will they just be Undivided looking mortals with access to Slaanesh demons. Just curious how visually his faction is going to look compared to somebody like Archeon's who is truly Chaos Undivided with the neat black armor!
I am also very happy that Sigvald get update and his own faction. How far compared to the N'kari will he be diplomatic in campaign map?
Can the WoC Lords and Heros be god aligned as well and will they be in the mono god races too?
Will previous units get better unit tags in the future to make them more in-line with what they're suppose to be?
For example, Rogue Idolz or The Terracotta sentinel not having the Construct Tag, and Rogue Idolz being able to route instead of crumble.
Will be'lakor get any unique units or heroes such as fenn beasts and dark emissaries?
Seeing as multiple lords got updates by reading the replies, did Malus Darkblade get some updates to his mechanics or overal faction aswel?
Will Norsca come with any new Monster hunts?
Will Be'lakor have access to daemon heroes? Loremaster of Sotek was asking about such and it'd feel weird if he didn't, even if he doesn't get heralds or exalted daemons.
Will there be chaos worries of Nurgle and so on
One Aspect I hope is in the works of being addressed is the update of various baseline units to match their chaotic monogod factions. Will we see a visual update for Spawn, Forsaken, base line warriors etc. ? Think if the rosters are gonna be more compact or overlap as you mention here they can be a bit more thematically, gameplay and visually distinguishable if they are dedicated to a particular god vs. a blended allegiance to Archaeon or whoever.
Any plans to give Tzarina Katarin her ice sled, as was originally planned?
Is there any plan to add an option to randomly assign lords throughout the world and shake things up? Maybe with a caveat of no guarantee of balance and that it's non-loreful. Would be fun to see Cathay suddenly owned by lizardfolk or khorne owning ulthuan, etc.
Did Alberic move to Lustria because he's always secretly pined for Cylostra, and is finally throwing caution to the wind to pursue his love with wild abandon? Forsaking the oaths of knighthood and chivalry and ze lady for his lady?! Is Alberic choosing love?
I could post the installments to my romance novel if you'd like
Just curious here. On how hordes are gonna be improved for spirit of the jungle (nakai) and world specifically if possible.
Will Vlad and Isabella’s subfaction have an enhanced levy system? I was thinking of something similar to Arkham the black’s Vampire Count unit building. I believe one of the earlier editions of Warhammer fantasy had a roster for the Sylvanian levies
I don't know if I can ask another question here, but have older spell lores besides the lore of life been updated? I know Shield of Thorns got damage reflection, but have spells like cascading fire cloak also been looked at or any other individual spells that you can share. Also flesh to stone should also increase unit mass imo.
Thank you.
Is the zombie dragon in the "TOTAL WAR: WARHAMMER III – IMMORTAL EMPIRES DEDICATED FACTIONS" blogpost that is unmounted a new unit for the vampire counts, or just a promotional asset? Just curious that's all
Can anyone tell me if CA has confirmed a fix for the campaign issue with the gpu getting really hot and going through fan burst like mad ?
Will the mini multiplayer campaigns eventually be playable in single player? On a similar note, will multiplayer-only modes like free for all battles or domination make there way to singleplayer (custom battle or even campaign)?
One of my favorite things about TWW is the fact that settlements change visually, for example Greenskins taking over Karaz-a-Karak and their signature style being put all over the mountain. Will there be any similar feature to the Warriors of Chaos taking over settlements in IE?
What features can we expect from the new modding tools dropping at around the launch of Immortal Empires?
Nagash when? And 4 bloodlines?
Any plans to add Egrimm van Horstmann and if you do have you considered similar mechanic to Imrik except it's about corrupting the dragons to chaos?
Will there be any pre-battle speeches for game 1 and game 2 races like there were from 3? Like the line where the kislev general talks about the troops families growing old and fat if they win the battle, or Daniels voice line about how they'll see how great and terrible god is.
So with the announcement of a new legendary hero with Vlad/Isabella, is the team thinking about adding more legendary heroes to the game (old and new factions) ?
will there be undivided demons, for example succubus , devil , pit ?
Valkia, Vilitch and Festus will be in WoC ?
What was your favorite thing to work on during the development of IE and the WoC?
So the chaos dlc will have 4 lords and is only base on them will you updat other factions the same way ie empire orcs Skaven so on

With lord packs, has there ever been discussion or thought for a hero pack, where you make a handful of legendary heros for a variety of factions that we can pay for?
Is the lack of a landing animation when manually landing flying units be fixed? Is it a bug? An intentional decision?
Will Clan Pestilence get access to some sort of plague mechanic like nurgle?
1)Will Warhammer 3 get DLSS and/or FSR at some point? 2)Also, will you add new animations to old factions mages similar to what Cathay has? In immortal empires….3)are you still working on major optimizations to improve fps?
Will skaven get a rework so that each clan is encouraged to use its own units more and other clans' units less? Is this a design goal?
Morning everyone! Apologies for the delay! Please hold on to your questions as we will have another opportunity to get them answered in next weeks for our next RPI!
As our interviewees get your questions, it does take away from their time quite a bit so once it's posted, they'll answer any questions for the first couple of hours and I'll pin every answer as we go. I'll keep the channel open till the next morning and will then have to close it as there are so many (amazing!) questions.
Again please hold on to your questions as these will be on every week 🙂 Thanks everyone!
Can you tell us something about new animations for old DLC and W1 races? What about mechanics to be competitive and interesting against w3 and w2 races?
