Are you Planning to Add more endgame events alongside DLC's? for eg: A lizardmen DLC with "Enacting the Great plan" endgame event (the great plans says its time for a world-purge.) Or Thranquil along with the "Vermintide" Endgame etc etc.
With the release of Immortal Empires, will we be able to use the WH2 and WH1 factions in the chaos realm battles? This was previously mentioned aswell, so far I haven't seen any news on it, thanks for your great work!

My question is rather pointed towards modding, and i wanted to know if once you guys released the Tools to make Maps, will we be able to retouch already existing maps present in the basegame instead of having to create entirely new ones?
I am generally happy with the new maps (and old ones) but i would love to add a bit more scenery to them and don't want to create every map from scratch. So that would be really great and enhance the modding a lot with ease!
Will The Demon Prince (Daniel) have a way to gain access to the generic demon princes added in the warriors of chaos rework, thus giving the faction another undivided lord choice?
Hey, long before WH3 marketing started I remeber a mentioning of new battle types - Shrine battles, if I have to guess they are a battle over a battle buff capture point.
Will that type of battles make it in WH3 ?
As a tester myself, how do you handle situations where you need confirmation from other teams on whether a behaviour you discover is intentional or not?
Is there plans to add more layouts for the siege maps of the WH1 and WH2 races ? Most have only 1 or 2 layouts which is less than the WH3 races.

With the new option for co-op to have so many players will corruption affect your friends even in non head to head? Are there ways to mitigate/options to nullify it?
Secondly It's great to see vassal changes to make them more useful! Though are more plans to tweak them in the future possible? It appears the AI still disregards their master and declares war on them regardless leading to broken treaties/negative reputation with people you like. Perhaps making it so a vassal can't be declared on directly needing to go through their overlord?
As a tester myself as well, is there any automation in the testing process or is everything manually tested ?
I've noticed wood elves lacking any set item bonuses. Is this an intended thing?>

Have you considered making unique mounts, like Deathclaw, more interesting? I think special abilities bound to them similar to those the Sisters of Twilight get on their Dragon and Eagle would be interesting.
Performance improvements for the campaign map --- when?
In the early access from the content creators I've noticed the AI is being very passive and offer little challenge to the player even in the highest difficulty. Is this something we can expect to be fixed for the launch on the 23rd or soon after ?
Luke: Usually we have plenty of documentation from designers on how a function or feature should behave, although there can often be some unique cases or - occasionally - a scenario that hasn't been anticipated, and in these cases, we will raise it straight to the designers and have a quick chat about the expected results and whether it seems correct or not. Once that's determined we make a note for reference and then will either bug it or move on to other checks if its the intended design behavior π
Who added Chungus to the ogre naming pool and why did they not get a raise?
I really like that you can now customize your campaign (endgame events etc). Any plans on togglable options like loreful diplomacy, unit caps or similar?
If you did not have to consider time, resources, nor difficulty to create, what would you most like to see added into the game?
Did you notice that AI control reinforcement feature is missing during defensive battle? Currently it only works for offensive battle. Is this intentional?
We know Sarthorael is on the WoC roster. But he's not different than a generic lord of change monstrous unit. Do you intend to change his image? Same question to the other unique heroes and lords.? What is your plan in this regard?

is there any chance that the ai aggression will be tuned higher from what they are now in IE testing because from the youtuber campagins the ai doesn't seem aggressive enough. i believe legends said something about it
Was the healing cap for Ghrost zombies intended to reach 1.2 million or will it be patched out eventually ?
Luke: This is a tough question π but I'd say for me my favorite races was probably Bretonnia - although I really liked Lizardmen and Warriors of Chaos too. π Chaos Dwarfs are also a very cool race though for sure. I really liked the revamped models Forge World did with them for Tamurkhan when that was released back in the day π

As a QA myself (high tech non-gaming company), I'm wondering what kind of the testing do you have Guys in place? (AST's, unit, manual, regression, black box etc. on different branches)
Are there any plans to increase the amount of data that exists in the current version of the "Encyclopedia" in the game (as in, explaining every hidden stat such as high ground bonuses, splash damage, etc) or are you ok with us relying for those specifics on third parties such as content creators? In the latest previews; the Dark Elf Black Dragon has gained a weird green eye glow. No other dragons have this; and the unique mount Black Dragons don't have it either. Is it bugged or intended? As i'm personally not a fan.

Is there any chance for more "rpg" like systems being added to older, existing races? (I'm specifically thinking of the Troy legendary monster lines or the Cathayan merchant journeys/caravans). These are amazing at giving you something to do while in between turns, and bring a lot of fluff and fun to the table, particularly when you're for example skipping turns to get buildings done etc.
Is the team aware that the settlement building auto construct feature does not work correctly? (The allocated budget can be reset to 0 randomly and it sometimes doesn't work even if the budget is 100% and the player has a lot of money)
Are there any plans or possiblity to add cultist heroes to Warriors of Chaos (and maybe Morathi's cult of pleasure faction aswell) in the future?

Luke: Can't really confirm anything here, but a lot of our team really enjoyed the new variety that the Endgames bring to Late-Game campaigns, so who knows, maybe? π the good thing is these will be modder friendly, so will be very exciting to see what the great community is able to come up with for Endgame scenarios too π

Luke: We utilize both methods across our testing. Due to how massive and complex games are nowadays, you always want to have automation to complement the manual testing that needs to be done too. We have some really great automation testers that work with us on our projects to support any automation test needs we have on the projects.
Luke: I think I'd love to see more objective-based or set-piece scripted battles with more cinematic aspects to them in battles and campaign narratives π I always like seeing the stories of the WARHAMMER setting come to life.
everyone knows that the beastmen rework was a huge improvement. And a lot of people, myself included, think it's a shame to lose the realms of chaos in IE. But it is obvious that with its current mechanics it would not be a great success. As a member of the team that participated in the best rework to date. What ways can you think of to be able to implement the kingdoms of chaos in an entertaining way for the players?
Hi there! I think I read in one of these that WH1-2 garrisons would be buffed and made stronger and WH3 garrisons would be taken down a notch. Is this implemented in this patch of IE or is that for a later day? Also can you guys talk if sieges with be getting any changes anytime soon?
Luke: There's definitely a lot more of Chaos to explore so who knows? π
Will you ever add single player mini campaigns like you have for multi player?
In relation to the current changes to the VCs system, what might be the best way to contact you all in terms of "feedback" for the changes, as well as, could we be expecting a rework to be featured in a new DLC, such as that seen with the Warden and the Paunch and Silence and Fury?
P.S. Do you have any plans of expanding on the new WoC upgrade mechanic system, to apply to other factions? If so, would the undead factions be in the running to see such changes?
We've been told it's now easier than before to move lords' starting positions now between patches. With the world filling up as fast as it is, even with this size, some LLs are already starting as direct neighbours with barely a settlement between them. How likely are lords to move between patches and is there a certain maximum density of lords in areas you're trying to avoid? The southlands look very crowded, I can't imagine more lords fitting in there.
Will we get another races update blog before 23th? At first, I think we will get 4 races per week until launch day.
Luke: We have a wide variety of testing on our games ongoing at all times, and different kinds of testers for different areas and skillsets, so we get a mix of White box testing, Black box testing, Automation, etc throughout the life of the projects we work on. We have specialists for things like Compatibility, Audio, Platform, etc and then the Functional team that works on the bulk of the game features and design implementation testing, etc. π
Will the "treacherous" trait for tomb kings heroes ever be fixed?
Luke: The design team is always looking at what we might be able to improve or change for some of the older content when they can, so it's often something that gets looked at. No concrete answers on what will be coming and for whom, but we almost always endeavor to have some QoL changes and updates where we can π
Will there be by any chance and expanse of mechanics to vampires , or do you plan to let them as they are now?
How hard is balancing and how do you approach it? With hundreds of units and massive amounts of lore for each one, I can't imagine having to test every single one.
What is the threshold to consider a mechanic or a gameplay aspect a bug worthy of a rework or let it pass as something fun even if it might look like broken?
Are they're plans to improve faction effects like Hexoatl? I love what Kroq'gar has now, but makes Mazdamundi feel really bland by comparison
As a QA tester I've always been interested in how you guys test huge games like this. I always enjoy coming up with systems that elegantly and efficiently test applications and I was wondering if there was any test(s) you designed that you felt particularly proud of and why!
Do you plan to release DLC to add specific funtionalities or skins to all factions like "diplomacy focused DLC, settlements, items, etc
It doesn't really make sense for Gelt to participate in the Elector Counts system and try to become an Emperor. Are there plans to have a unique feature for him to replace that, simillar to how you reworked Volmar? A unique Lab feature (similar to Ikit's Lab) and Auric Bastion (similar to Great Wall) features for him would be great!
Is there a chance for more DLCs like the Champions of Chaos? As I feel it could be a great way to finish off some races like the Empire
can you gives us an idea on how you decide which faction is next in line for an update, is it determined by a set criteria or just random?
Are you going to improve the skin of the armor of Chaos Warriors and Marked Chosen? The armor is only a color change.
Once the more obvious reworks are done, you intend to keep updating races which are in a decent spot or you'll turn to faction specific reworks?
What is one of the funniest issues your team has ran into during testing? I'm sure there are plenty of them!
In developing Immortal Empires, the Warhammer 3 team has implemented a wide variety of unique faction mechanics (The Forge of Daith, Grom's Cauldron, Sniktch's Shadowy Dealings, etc.) and racial mechanics (Wood Elven Deeproots, Beastmen Dread, Greenskin WAAAAGHs, etc.) which were introduced into Warhammer 2.
Were there any such mechanics whose implementation posed a particularly difficult challenge in the development of Immortal Empires? Are there any interesting solutions the team had to come up with to make them play nice with the new map?
Do you have a favorite Warhammer fantasy character and who are they? (Can be in the game or not in the game)
will Be'lakor ever be playable on the RoC map?
What is the weirdest/most odd thing to happen during the entire process?
Why weren't Troglagobs (sea goblins from White Dwarf) added to the greenskin overhaul?
Luke: Wow, thank you for the compliment π I am very lucky to get to work on such an amazing team and it's always nice to know the hard work is appreciated π You raise an interesting question; one that's been discussed quite a bit internally, but as you mention it poses a significant challenge in the current setup for us to do. There are a lot of really cool and fun ideas the team has had about this very possibility, but whether or not it'll be possible in the future I sadly don't know as it requires a huge amount of work to add that section into the existing map. But hey, never say never, I'd love to see it one day in some form of mid-to-endgame dungeon-raid-esque setup where you can dive into the realms of the dark Gods to slay Greater Daemons and find unique wargear options π
Luke: This is definitely a very big task and as you can imagine, testing the entire roster is quite hard work, but it's also quite fun. While we test the entire unit rosters for all races and factions during development, we also do have some real Multiplayer Wizards in our QA ranks that run special balance sessions weekly where they'll play out specific test scenarios of factions and units and designers join to watch and observe and see what the feedback is. π If there's any really whacky balancing stuff it's often found there, but if it's a more nuanced situation then we see how the community feels about it before making any hasty decisions π
There are 350 spells, 134 mounts, and 879 unique items spread amongst the various Lord and Hero characters!
As an owner of the three base games (but no WoC DLC) will I be able to play as Belakor?
Wood elves have been nerfed in IE, no magic stance, lost a kurnous volley and we still without naiads and swarms of pixies. Even Athel Loren look more awfull than in W2. Can WE have a crosspack with Cathay and flc Ariel as optional LL? Thanks
Luke: I'd say this is often on a case-by-case basis but very very rare that something unintended is left as-is if it's not working as the design team expects. It really depends on the severity I'd say. If it's a very aberrant bit of behavior from what's described, it'll always be bugged anyway, but if it's a minor thing that's actually just fun and doesn't have any balance concerns, etc, then sometimes a designer might decide it's fine with the additional unintended behavior. But as a general rule in QA; if the output behavior is not on the list of expected results, it'll be bugged π
Luke: It's definitely a big challenge testing games as they are big, complex, and in this day and age, often ever-changing. π I can't think of a particular test I'm proud of, but I would say, I think our DLC QA teams are good at adapting on the fly and adjusting our tests for changing features/scope, and also trying to keep our tests easy to understand, while also being in-depth for what's needed π
What is the testing process when it comes to balancing and how can the community help out?
Will we ever be able to choose which LL (Vlad or Isabella) leads the Sylvania faction when it's controlled by the AI? Maybe a setting beforehand with the standard being Vlad as the lord and Isabella as the hero. I really like Isabella as a LL and was incredibly saddened to see i'll only see her as a LL in WH3 by controlling the faction myself.

I don't care about the trait to any who would think that. They can remove that, I don't mind. I just like Isabella as a LL π
Will we ever see a rework to less then stellar factions going forward from IE? I love some of the reworks you've done regarding Tomb Kings and Lizardmen. But when I see factions like Queek I cant help but think how bad he is compared to his counterparts. It would be really neat to see a Skaven Lord that had faction effects centered around undercities for instance. As a big Warhammer fan I LOVE unique mechanics that set the LL apart from the rest of their faction.
So, for WH3 there is a diplomacy system, that basically makes it easier, which is so good! However, there's one overtune - confederation. For confederating a LL as HE or Cathay you need to either threaten the LL, or do the shaman astrology work with strategic threat thing to confederate. Will confederations be like that in the future? Because a lot of people like pokemoning
Why do the new Marked Lords of Chaos have no manticore and Dragon mount? The fact you lose half your skills and a lot of souls doesnβt help.

Will there be a Time To Return to the models of the DLC? (Champions of Chaos) In order to truly give them unique models?
Besides 1x Helmet 1x weapon 1x off hand special options? Truly the entire model itself has been copy-pasted from the current Warrior / Knight of Chaos or Chosen model which all of the so called "New Model" reskins have.
Like so many models within this DLC.
The Nurgle Chosen arn't even "unique" enough, they are truly reskins arn't they?
So will you Return and Fix the problem? Do it Justice?
Or simply leave it as it is?
When Modders have done a much better job currently in regards to reused in-game tools.
Luke: So it's definitely not random. I'd say it's more about how the community is interacting with said factions after a while, and whether there are any major problems or really outdated features that are causing the faction to suffer. If it's still fun to play despite its age though, then it lends weight to the design still being pretty solid and perhaps not in need of as much tinkering as one that's less engaged. But ultimately those kinds of decisions are made by our great Development Director of Warhammer DLC π
what is ur favorite unit in every catogory(infantry, ranged infantry, melee cav, monsters,...)
With the new marauder skins being added for the 4 chaos gods, would the team consider adding some leathers or furs to the Norscan Marauders so they are a bit more unique? Especially considering the model is used 10 times in the roster?
Luke: From what I understand, due to how he's set up in RoC as an unlockable lord for certain races, this would make it quite tricky to implement him as a standalone faction in the same way he has been fone for Immortal Empires, particularly as he's the key antagonist to the story of the Realms of Chaos narrative. But hey, who knows, maybe one day? π
Will Tretch Craventail finally get some love and go from generic lord to a cool character? I feel like he really deserves it because lord-wise, he is somehow in an even worse situation than queek (just my opinion though but I feel like a decent amount of people might agree)
Luke: Due to how busy we are on testing it's quite hard to remember at times. But we did get a quite funny internal meme out of one bug that was to do with how aggressive our LoD system was being on units at close distance, which resulted in the rather hilarious "Derp Lion" as the White Lions of Chrace warbeast unit was particularly funny looking when this bug was present π
Army roster aside, Nurgle has a conceptually interesting system with its buildings/structures and diverse plagues.
While interesting, it could be hard to track what buildings was withering and blooming. Player interaction with this dynamic flow was also fairly limited. Anything on your radar about this system and maybe also the future of plagues for Nurgle?
Luke: I think overall, our design team did a great job of updating the mechanics for the races in Immortal Empires, and we didn't have too much trouble with most of them outside of a few script cleanups and teething issues. The overall scale of the project was probably the biggest challenge of it all; testing out 3 entire games' worth of content, plus all the DLCs was a massive undertaking for us, but one that I think we handled really well. I'm really proud of our QA team and the hard work they always put in π
have you ever thought of giving Azazel the ability to have unlimited gifted slannesh units in his army like Be'lakor but it needs to be unlock by a skill or Tech
After all, it's seems that no all campaigns are in the same time in RoC so, maybe Be'lakor can have a prequel or sequel dlc campaign... π
Luke: This is a hard one as the WARHAMMER setting is absolutely filled with amazingly detailed and fleshed-out characters π But if I had to pick, I think I'd say Archaon, as he's this massive threat to the entire world, and his ability to subdue and unite the Northern tribes and descend to burn the worlds of Order and actually achieve his goal was no small task. While many threats in the WARHAMMER world are more local, Archaon is this huge, existential threat to everyone, and ultimately, succeeded in achieving his plans. I also just love his visual designs; The massive slabs of dark armor, coupled with the horned helmet and the massive burning blade just look fantastic. I actually have his old, quite rare GamesDay model of him on foot without Dorghar and it's still one of my favourite Fantasy models despite its age π
Luke: I can't say for sure, but I'd imagine it might be that in terms of actual gameplay, they're just aquatic Gobbos which would still be a pretty low-tier unit to use, rather than something bigger and more badass that could be included. Ultimately if we could though, we'd add every single damn unit possible, but there's only so much time and budget we can dedicate to each project and some stuff doesn't always survive the cutting room floor. But hey, never say never. If that unit is really sought after, maybe one day we will end up doing it after all! π
I've seen on couple of streams on YT that the Bretonnian knights all have the same model now. Would you consider to bring back the model variety as it was in Warhammer 2 for this unit?
Luke: I think I touched on this briefly in another answer, but it's a team effort when it comes to balance; the design team and QA will review and playtest all the units and content and go over feedback and points on it to see if there's a consensus on if some things need adjusting. The community helps a lot by letting us know which things seem a bit OP or underpowered, either in places like Discord, or forums, but also if we ever put out betas that can be opted into, such as the Cavalry beta we did near the end of WARHAMMER II. the feedback provided by each and every member of the community is invaluable and while we can't always action everything, we really do listen and take in the points you all raise so that we can strive to make the game as best as it can be for everyone π

Would you consider adding older menu soundtracks like "fire steel and gunpowder" or the original Warhammer 2 to the current warhammer menu?
Luke: Confederation and how it's done is something already being looked into based on feedback. Keep an eye out in the near future for more info on that π
Is settlement not changing architecture/city layout based on the owner a technical issue or a design decision?
Who is your favorite bretonnian character?
Luke: So the marked Lords of Chaos use different mount options from the Undivided ones to give them a bit more flavourful and thematic options that fit their God alignment. You get access to different skills when dedicating them to a single chaos god, so being able to re-spec your skill tree is quite useful down the line. But this is still useful feedback, I'll make sure it's passed along π
Would you consider making a fusion between the old and new slave system, and adding further usages for it?
I really like the new boons you guys added to slaves. They feel very thematic, however I do think I and many others miss the region management part of it.
Perhaps there could be more usages for slaves, such as using it as a trade resource with other slaver factions, or as a resource to boost your armies or lower the trigger of murderous prowess for an army if you sacrifice slaves.
Really looking forward to what the team has cooking for future content π
Luke: Infantry - Chosen of Khorne with Dual Axes, Ranged - Warp Grinders, Cav - Bretonnian Questing Knights, Monters - The Bloodbrute Behemoth. These are all based purely on the visuals and "rule of cool" rather than stats π
when the end times eventually happen will we ever see new Unique Purple items during those events? like the blade of slaanesh for example or anything above, to allow more factions to be able to gain those items other then just cathay, allowing more variety later game!
Hi Luke! SEGA reported the blood for the blood God DLC as the most profitable DLC CA has done so far. Following the positive reception of the recent Blood announent would you guys be open to make more death effects. For example. A "Fire for the Fire God" for burned corpse textures or something?
As we are going to get a lot of chaotic content soon, can we hope for something more in order near the end of the year?
Has the CA team looked at updating certain undivided visuals on new units for when you play monogod? Specifically, the chariots of khorne from the roster blog have khorne banners that are replaced by the undivided symbols in-game.
What is the role of Aspiring Champions in the game? Seems the low model count high cost infantry haven't found a place yet.
Can you explain why empire , cathay and kislev cavalry is faster or as fast bretonnian and HE cav?why winged lancers are fast as wild riders? Lore wise at least in the old lore this should be impossible
Why did Tomb Kings lose the large constructs in their starting armies? Kahtep with no heirotitan?
Is it possible that Greasus will get a new mount? His current one vastly downplays his abilities of fighting because of his messy animations
I've seen some IM through content creators, and the ai looks to be alot more passive than before.

A big problem with settlement battles, is that garrisons for a race are all the same. With scripting, we can currently kill units in garrisons, but not add units to garrisons.
Is there any chance of that being added to the engine?
Will you give ghorst grave guard summons to kemmler? Kinda makes sense, ghorst is a zombie lord while kemmler want to have an army of wights.
Apart from a lot of new exiting maps, do you consider the option to add a unique map for atleast every important major Settlement like Skavenblight and Hellpit?
Will there be more survival battles and possibly with different layouts? For example one idea could be a zombie survival without towers and barricades and a limited resource pool, etc.

Will Bretonnians ever receive new units?
Will we be able to acquire the weapons from the realms of chaos (Slaanesh's Blade, Chainsword, etc.) in IE at all? They were pretty great to come across when travelling through the realms, and they have a power level similar to the Sword of Khaine on Ulthuan.
Hey, Are you in the evolution of campaign and battle AI, I'm talking more specifically about battle AI, in order to make battles more competitive, like (offering an AI that makes fewer mistakes, that focus more efficiently, and diversifies those placements and interactions in high difficulties. There will be a lot more cases where we would lose battles, whereas currently we win battles because the AI ββplays stupidly (drop count, cav which rushes to the instead of waiting for the frontlane, waiting under the towers of the walls etc ...)
at high levels of difficulty ?
Luke: So there's a lot here, but I'd say the goal of Champions of Chaos was to upgrade the breadth of the Warriors of Chaos roster and to provide more variety and better gameplay experience for a very old faction, which the DLC definitely does. With Nurgle units - as with a lot of the rest of Chaos - there's a LOT left to explore in the future. I think a lot of people look at the Putrid Blight Kings models and think all of Nurgle Warriors should be this way, but if you go back to how they were depicted in the Tabletop game for a long time, they were more rusted and darkened armour back in the day which I think is reflected pretty well with the units we've currently added for them π But you are also correct, the modding community also makes some fantastic stuff too and it's really cool to see what amazing stuff they come up with.
In regards to the "army painter" for the campaign, is there a way that we can have a method to select a faction colour from a selection at the start of a campaign? much like they do in multiplayer? Thanks!
Will you as a player be able to become a vassal to chaos in multiplayer or singleplayer? would be fun to be able to become a heretic nation and spread chaos corruption or later become a vampire vassal
Can Cathay (& other races) have confederation improved to be a little easier - or atleast the mechanics explained how you get each bonus?
It seems purely luck based at the moment and sucks to have a -130 to -150 hostility penalty from the beginning of the game.

Luke: Alberic for sure. I like his armor and styling a bit more than I do Louen's. Although Repanse is a close second.
Luke: This is the currently intended implementation of settlement battles and settlement architecture.
As a former QA myself, how much of your testing is automated. Compared to manual exploratory testing ?
Luke: I'm not sure on this one, but we definitely do have some awesome death effects coming for some future units π Dynamic fire and burnt units might be a cool idea too, I'll pass that on π
Luke: Who knows? Not all Order are always as "good" as some would like π
Luke: So they're a lot better than they were previously and can go toe-to-toe with a lot more than they previously could. They're great at blending through mid and low-tier units but can also hold their own against some stronger ones now than previously too. I think they'll find more use in Campaign than they used to for sure π
Luke: Good question. I don't know the answer, but I know we do have designers that try and look at making things more mod-friendly wherever possible. I'll pass this along π
Are you going to create new races that never had rules on tabletop like Vampire Coast and Cathey?
Do you plan to add more forest variety for campaign ? In comparison of game 2 the high quality of details feel gives the impression that all trees look the same, especially since many are simple retextures. It would be great to see plague trees from Nurgle, crystal trees from Tzeentch, burnt trees from Khorne etc...
I have question anout IE map about chaos territory. Will there be addition land that will be added in area above eastern steppes in the future?

Can you please consider splitting the tunneling_excluded_regions according to campaign groups? The tables do not work as intended, because the mapping of excluded regions to campaign groups does nothing in the game. This is a trivial change for CA, but impossible for mods. This small change will make it possible to limit the regions where underway stance can be used, without affecting the teleporting stance of Kairos, Vilitch and Daniel.
Much of the fatigue with minor settlment battles seems to stem from the popup towers. Will CA be looking at addressing that? Potentially reworking the system so that you can only build towers once at the beginning of a game?

Luke: Our environment artists make absolutely beautiful maps so I'd be all for that π Whether it's something that can happen in the near future I'm not sure, but I'll mention it to the team. Having unique settlement maps for all the big, key locations would definitely be cool though I agree. π
Luke: If you're very lucky and the Gods favour you, some of these are actually able to be gained via the Eye of the Gods mechanic for Warriors of Chaos in the Champions of Chaos DLC π
Will there be any plans to rebrand norsca to the northern chaos tribes alongside representation of the other notable chaos tribes or will it remain norsca
Luke: So we have specialised testers that help look into Battle and Campaign AI behaviors and report its current states to our AI coders and designers. The tricky thing here is that it often requires a lot of data to paint a complete picture of how X AI is behaving in any given situation, and so we have to be really careful how we make any changes or possible fixes to things as the consequences can be quite severe. Rest assured it's always being looked into though π
Are there currently any plans to reduce the amount of minor settlement battles in campaign? I feel like many peoples favorite game mode is regular land battles and the amount of minor settlement battles currently is too much
Luke: This one is tricky. Whenever it comes to adding mounts or "new" stuff that's not explicitly part of the lore we have to be really careful not to disturb the intent and design that's been crafted by Games Workshop. We work closely with them and see what can work and what can't, but as Greasus was depicted in the Tabletop game being hauled along by Gnoblars, I wouldn't expect it to change too drastically from that visual, but I could be wrong π
Luke: This is a cool suggestion. I've also dreamed about the possibility of having factional "influence" that works like corruption creep, but instead of showing corruption, it adds in like little faction assets like elven towers, Bretonnian fountains, etc across the map that you own too. π I'll pass along the feedback on that though More terrain diversity is cool IMO π
Luke: I'm glad you like them. I'm a big Archaon fan so it was really neat to see them revitalize him and give him some appropriately badass animations to go along with him. π I think these areas are things the team definitely will be looking at - where possible - across future DLCs where it might make sense to fit it in π
I believe it was mentioned in an earlier blog that there are two teams working on Total War: Warhammer at the moment. Can you share how your two teams are coordinating between each other, both at current and in regards to future DLC?
For coop campains there dont seem to be any settings for end game crisis. Is it default on like chaos was in mortal empires? And are there plans to add them in the near future?

Luke: This is something that's being talked about, but as I'm sure you can appreciate since it's such a large system, we have to be careful about how we tweak this. π
Luke: I'm not aware of any plans for this right now, as it would require a whole bunch of new and interesting puzzles, but hey, never say never, I'll pass along the feedback π

With the new mechanics of vassalization of the Warrior of Chaos is there any way to vassalize a Norscan player as Warrior of Chaos player to give him the boost of the vassalisation (like spreading monogod corruption + passive ability for his armies)?
Is there any plan to update the Lizardmen Blessed spawning, allowing us to recruit dlc units (if owned)? Bc this really seems to hold back the dlc factions that are focused on a specific unit (Oxy w/ skirmishers, Nakai and the Blessed Kroxs, and Tehen with red crested skinks)
I see that Nakai's campaign became a lot more enjoyable in Immortal Empires, since he has less trouble keeping his vassals safe, do you think this is because of the notoriously passive AI?

I have a question, what was the reason for removing strong garrisons from faction capitals (Khemri, Naggaroth, Aldorf)? Because it's a shame, they don't really have this powerful side anymore, and it becomes generic cities, more than now, the AI ββloses it frequently.
Hi. I have a question, why are the gold incomes from ports in Immortal Empires seem kinda scuffed? As we can see on the streams right now they had their values nerfed and that's fine I guess, that's weird, but anyway. The problem is that now Norscans ports have 800 gold incomes from t3 ports, while even the Marienburg port only has that at t5? And generally what was the reason to nerf landmarks so heavily as you did?
Does the AI use the new local recruitment system for Chaos?
Luke: I'm a big fan of Bretonnia, so I'd love to see more units added one day, but not sure if/when it'd happen. Dismounted Knight unit variety and perhaps Truffle Hounds are some units I'd love to see in Bretonnian rosters one day if it was up to me π
Why hasn't it be tweaked so that the AI can't declare war on vassals, it's something people ask for a lot, and in patch notes it's said that the AI takes military strength more into account BEFORE they do this, but why not just remove it as a factor entirely?
Have you ever considered having two separate tests for faction balance? One for single player so they can have a more thematic experience and one for multi-player so they can have a more balanced experience.
Is the trait limit of 40 still hardcoded? Considering all the new LLs (and their respective defeat traits), this might be a problem/confuse players why they don't get any new traits. iirc correctly this has already been changed for Troy and has been made moddable, so is this something you could see being implemented for WH3 as well?
Will Boris Ursus get his own mechanics and tech? His faction is pretty much separate from Kislevβs other two and right now Boris is pretty much sidelined! He does not really get anything out of the supporter race and his startposition in combination with how hard confederating is makes it super hard to get the major cities.
Luke: Survival Battles are definitely being played around with a bit and you're right there's a lot of potentials there for other possibilities. Watch this space π

Luke: So there's a lot of moving parts on each project, but at the very top, you have our Development Director who works closely with the project design leads to ensure the vision for each project is realized as intended, and then on each team, the different disciplines communicate non-stop on the work needed. We have frequent updates to share progress and news between teams about how things are coming along and they show off all the new shiny bits and pieces they're working on which is really nice to see π

Luke: So this is something that we do already. Our functional QA team assesses how it plays out in SP campaign and provides feedback to the design team, and our Multiplayer QA "Battle Wizards" - as I call them - hammer the units against varying combinations and tiers of meta builds and normal builds of factions to see what the balance implications are for Multiplayer. Having said that, it's often simpler to maintain 1 set of data than multiple variants, for both data integrity and test coverage bandwidth π

Hello there ! With so many faction colour schemes, have you thought about allowing the player to give armies the look of factions he confederated ? For example, in late game as Karl Franz, letting Boris use the Middenheim look for his army ?

TW:WH is my go-to co-op game to play with friends, and we're really happy with a lot of QoL and new features in game 3 that support a better campaign experience.
In campaign battles, it's incredibly fun to have multiple factions allied fighting together.
Question:
We've had issues sharing (gifting) units back and forth when multiple player armies are involved. Is this intended? I recall the primary player army involved was not able to gift units to player 2 involved.
Example:
For example having 2 player armies, Cathay and Dwarves, we'd love to be able to be able to have player 1 be combined artillery and cav and player 2 control infantry and others, or whatever combo.
