#MB / B&H Routes 54 and 261 to be withdrawn
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
oh damn
I read the title seeing 54 and shat myself ibsr
also since when was there a route 54 from mb
oh nvm it's a B&H route
still
wait the 261 is a compass route wtf
lmao what
seriously
that’s funny af
so what I'm getting from this is that it's an extended B&H route that kills a compass bus route that runs pretty much entirely into Metrobus territory
ah
Compass really getting the short end of the stick 😭
so it's a metrobus route that kills a compass route but also kills a B&H route which is operated by the same company as metrobus
yum
icl getting your route taken by an opposing comp with support from the nearest airport is sad asf
and support from both councils 😭 💀
West Sussex AND East Sussex County Councils 😭 😭 😭
AYYY FINALYY
tbh if compass could get some sort of merged ticket like in newcastle
I'd be happy
Ever since they left roblox I'm telling you
also whats the source for this
Gatwick to Eastbourne will be a fun route
real
deadrun crawley to eastbourne though 🥀
cant help but think some journeys will be operated by b&h or they'll put some MB buses in uckfield garage
so 54 and 261 are being merged to form the 500
Thats going to be one lengthy route
plus following the 400 but avoiding crawley town centre
400 is getting rerouted?
or not?
no i mean it'll basically be following the 400 from east grinstead to gatwick
cause ik 400 is metrobus's longest route
just avoiding crawley town centre
yup
total mileage of 400 is between 35 and 40 I think
idk
but still, journey times average 2 and a half hours on 400
eesh
full metrobus 20 cant use deckers
but idk why
10 easily can and of course sees DDs
might be some low bridge or smt somewhere
pretty sure i saw an open topper tracking on the 20
expect more B9TLs to join metrobus
it'll have to be, unless they're cutting the uckfield to Eastbourne section to single deck
esp with those electroliners coming to b&h
Yes
Metrobus will go from scanias to B9TLs
a couple of B7RLEs recently got converted to single door
270 cant use 12m buses due to some tight turn somewhere
the B8RLEs are full length
not the shorter one
might be cuz of horsted keynes station
the bus has to do a full 3 point turn there
theyre the same length as the wrights
right
metrobus had a phase of putting eclipses on routes out of copthorne garage, might be for that
id say this
when 270 gets an allocation change in the late 2030s, its going to use E200EVs
well thats when I think 270s allocation would finally change
somewhere between 2035 and 2037
it will use MMCs first
then E200EVs
that's gna be quite a way away then
how long were the gb kite hydroliners? i remember one strayed onto the 270 a few months ago
theres a shorter batch of them
probably was that then
200 always uses streetlites as far as i can tell
I wonder if 500 will overtake 400 to become metrobus longest route
100% will
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbwwcCAr2Ls
got a B9TL on the 200
A full route visual of Metrobus Route 200 which runs from Horsham bus station via Littlehaven, Faygate, Kilnwood Vale, Bewbush, Ifield and Manor Royal and Gatwick Airport South Terminal to Gatwick Airport North Terminal. The route usually has Streetlites as its allocation on paper but anything can appear on the 200 including these B9TL Gemini 2s...
was the only decker on it that day
would see if I could record 500 in the future
wonder if 500 will be half hourly?
or hourly
giving 400s section a 15 minute service
oh alr then
Im also thinking where 500 will start
as in in gatwick
north terminal or south terminal
yes
of course it would be for normal use
but 500 is just lengthy
gatwick to eastbourne
apparently its looping around forest row
but idk about this
hopefully some loans do 500 in the future
it'll probably just follow the exact route of the 261 and 54
excluding a couple bits I'd guess
its not serving the manor park section of 54
wonder if there would be a new single deck bus route that serves manor park to replace 54 there
400 nowhere near the length of 23 🤣
Journey time is not even over 2 hours as well, not 2hrs 30m
Also more like 25 miles than 40
when does this start
cant find starting dates
p sure 273s even longer then 400
oh
probably the 31
i can't imagine they'd put the 29 through there, makes it less direct
34 miles
route 23 sits at around 30 miles
29A?
it already goes a little out of the way to go into uckfield town centre, it would add 17 mins to the journey time
Manor Park to get a rerouting of an existing route
Compass 31 is on the tables but not confirmed
my genius is almost frightening
I'd imagine
that's when it would be needed most I'd say
no starting date is confirmed yet
Fair enough
But start date could be announced closer to summer
