Following news that Arriva Kent Thameside was to pull out from operating route 489 between Gravesend and New Ash Green on a commerciual basis from Saturday 31st May 2025, KCC stepped in and provided limited funding to allow the route to continue until Saturday 30th August and Go-Coach were the chosen operator. However from the Monday 1st September the route will continue and the contract awarded to 1st Bus Stop.
