HyperX Cloud Alpha 2 Wireless – Disable DAC Lighting

I’m using the HyperX Cloud Alpha 2 Wireless, and I’d like to request a feature to completely disable the LED lighting on the USB DAC.

Currently, even when lighting is reduced or managed via software, the DAC LEDs remain on, which can be distracting—especially in dark environments or during night sessions.

Please add a true “LED OFF” / “Disable lighting completely” option (either via software or hardware).

I might return it then. The other annoying feature is you can't even adjust headset volume with the Windows 11 volume slider

headset still doesnt even auto connect to ngenuity lol, I just stopped using the app entirely for everything except hardware eq

Same thing, but even if I use the Dolby Access software instead of NGENUITY, I still have to connect the DAC to the PC, which means the rather aggressive key backlights stay on.*

The DAC is the USB receiver. So you have to keep it connected no matter what unless you want to resort to Bluetooth

I don’t check Discord too often, but I just saw this and wanted to let you know we’ve recently submitted it to our software team as a feature request, and it’s under review. Be sure to keep NGENUITY up to date and check the release notes after each update to see what’s new and whether this feature makes it in. 😉
