#Whine sound on Cloud III Wireless S

I bought these yesterday, I'm using them via the 2.4 USB radio adapter in my PC. There is a continuous, mild whining sound from the headset, that stops a few seconds after any audio stops playing. It's present always during playback of any sound / music, and 3-4 seconds after the sound playback stops (like a song ends, or I pause a video), the whining is gone.

This is in cotrast to my previous headset, Cloud Flight S, which has no such issue.

Is this a common experience? It's really hard to bear, as it's this quiet, but persistent high-pitched noise that keeps drilling into my brain... 🙁

I've just checked that the whining sound only appears in the adapter mode. There is no whining in the Bluetooth mode.

I tried everything I could think of. I wanted to stick with the adapter mode, since bluetooth is worse quality and lags. I RMA'ed the headset, the new copy doesn't have this problem. So it was a bad item it seems.
