The new design is missing some functionality as well... In the "Live Game" tab, there was a "refresh" button on the old design which would update the page if it was still showing your previous game. Now the only way to get a new Live Game session going is to refresh the page multiple times and still it doesn't work sometimes...
I don't know if this is related to the same issue, but "Live Game" on browser is not working at all in the last few days. Really frustrating!

U.GG have overlay, where you just see their summoner spells and can click if they used it, it works like a timer. It’s not bad but I always forget. Maybe do it more easier, but effective? And then synchronize it with the runes and make the CD of started timer be lower if the player has Cosmic Insight?

I just got banned for 12 hour for not connecting to the game which I have accepted (happened 3 times today). I know I should post this to league support but I have a suspicion that OP.GG extension might be causing the problem. I checked known issues and didn't find it. I will test it tomorrow to make sure the extension has anything to do with it. Has anyone else had ever have similar problem?

absolutely not true and don't worry. our app does not interfere directly with your in-game experience and all the features are Riot compliant.

Hi, I'm also interested in the same question. I thought Electron app can be used to build cross-platform apps, maybe some platform-specific features such as Overlay can use feature-flag to enable on different platforms, so Windows and Mac version can be updated simultaneously?

Right now there's some issues with size but as a temporary fix so that it could fit on your monitor, you can change app size here in settings
