Writers usually worry about grammar, but readers actually struggle more with visual clarity and emotional reactions in scenes.

If anyone ever wants a reader’s perspective instead of writer feedback, I’m always happy to look at a chapter.

Yeah, genre doesn’t matter to me, I mostly focus on how clearly the scenes come across and how the emotions land for a reader.

What kind of tone is it? More light/romantic or heavy themes?

I would say it starts off fairly light but it gets pretty heavy by the end and especially in the 2nd book (which I'm working on right now, but I've been in need of feedback from others because I don't know if my book is really strong enough to be even published or if it should be completely scrapped).

That’s actually a very normal place to be in during a draft, most books don’t feel “publish-ready” to the writer because you’ve seen every version of it.

Usually it’s not about scrapping the story, it’s about seeing how a fresh reader experiences it. Sometimes a few unclear moments make the whole thing feel weaker than it really is.
