I enjoy beta reading drafts and I’ve noticed something common:

Writers usually worry about grammar, but readers actually struggle more with visual clarity and emotional reactions in scenes.

If anyone ever wants a reader’s perspective instead of writer feedback, I’m always happy to look at a chapter.

Would you do this for a fanfiction series?

That’s actually a very normal place to be in during a draft, most books don’t feel “publish-ready” to the writer because you’ve seen every version of it.

Usually it’s not about scrapping the story, it’s about seeing how a fresh reader experiences it. Sometimes a few unclear moments make the whole thing feel weaker than it really is.

If you want, you can show me a chapter and I’ll tell you honestly how it reads from the outside.
