Interesting, I thought about doing something like this with a cheap android watch (I was trying to find one with enough physical buttons as I didn't want to rely too much on the touch) but this looks great already! What are the differences between the two versions (S9/99) and any plans to add Digimon X? Those were my favorite mechanics-wise.

The difference is just the shape. CDS9 has protruding bar on the right while CD99 doesn't has it. Unfortunately, there is no plan to add DMX. However, it is possible to change the sprites and the mon's name using currently available rosters.

With sim, wifi n BT turned off while the app is running in the background, the battery can last from 3-5 days. It really depends on how long we let the screen on.
The game can run in the background all the time
The screen doesn't fall asleep automatically
It can be put in the pocket too as the straps are detachable

It is most definitely traditional. Although, it is possible to replace the sprites with VB sprites

Well, just got these two in the mail. One the silver the other the black model. I have been playing with them for the last 15min or so. I Gotta say I really like the black version it's super compact a slim. But both still bigger then my galaxy watch. So far a issue when training on the PenC eggs it registers around 45 shakes but still give me a 0 x Super hit when training...

Nope. I didn't use the apk
I know that someone made another version of DMUL. They spread the apk underground via WhatsApp and Facebook group
I strongly recommend not to install the apk on your phone due to security concerns
If you have a spare phone that you only use just for games and fun, I guess that's fine

to turn back on, u need to press the side button
please dont press longer than 5s as that will reset the entire watch

it was the charging stand I had the prongs lined up wrong, I thought it was like my other watch, but the go left side to charge not the top...

Tips.. You can add a new background by copy paste a picture into Android>data>com.digi.watch>files>sprites>other>bg folder
the picture that you have just copied will be available as new background selection
the background format must be named by small letters and ends with .png.
example
- newbackground.png
- greenmeadow.png
- pixeldots.png

The watch will stay lit when vpet is on screen. Once u exit it, the screen will fall asleep automatically
