I'm not confident enough to try to mess with the electronics, but my DMX B version (the new As Maria shell) randomly turns off on it's own after a while. I tried replacing the battery a few times already. Sometimes a good smack works, but I lose a lot of time as it's the same as my Digimon being frozen. Also, one of my color devices has a messed up speaker.

Anyone know of someone who does repair work on these?

Does it turn off as in reset itself or does the screen just turn off? As the screen turning off is normal and all modern vpets do it.

Both. Often when the screen turns off, no amount of pressing the buttons turns it back on. I have tap it pretty hard to get the screen to come on, a few pixels at first, and then the whole screen. But sometimes it just acts as off it were turned off and asks if I want to load the save or reset it.

Have you pressed the reset button? Sometimes that fixes issues like this. Or the battery isn't right.
