I installed the first update, then the first bug fix.

I apparently have a device with an extremely boosted evolution meter.
I hatched the egg at 6:30pm my time, it it now 11pm and he is at vegiemon with a full evolution meter (can't evolve because i haven't even touched the arena.)

Now that I’ve started, I noticed that there is a split second during transitions that mochimon appears and then finishes the transition. It even happens when trying to do special training but are denied. I don’t remember this “glitch” being present in the previous version.

Turn off Device.

#

Find something flat that can fit into this hole. Carefully while pressing down (keep it held once you feel it click)

Then you need a data transfer cable that can fit here and popping that in while still pressing the small boostel button(tiny hole 1st pic)

A window will pop open, you drag and drop the new update file into that window. It will close on its own and you can remove the data cable after.

Then turn device back on.

#

To make things easier, have the usb data cable ready in your PC so once you press the boostel button you can quickly pop that other cable in as well.

You should have received an email for the new update.

Hey I just updated mine using the same piece from iFixit Mako kit!! Absolutely no issues. Had me a little stressed out with updating my model the way some folks are breaking their buttons

Be gentle with it, press down hard enough that you feel a click and no further. And use something that isn't sharp!

Then copy the file to the DMK as before but from that USB key

Instead of saving anything to your main drive

In any case I would run a full disk check with sector and error repair to see if something is corrupt in your main drive at some point. Maybe it works or maybe not, but you don’t lose anything

So I was looking at the b00tsel button and it looks like at the center there are some traces that get connected when pressed

#

It looks familiar to the way the DMOG (and many many others) register button presses

#

I will disassemble one of my Raspberries and check wether the traces can be bridged by something

#

A silicon button from a DM should have a black piece underneath which is the conductive material that bridges the traces

#

If nothing else, we could attach a small piece of that to the tip of a screwdriver with a little bit of glue and try

#

Best case scenario the screwdriver is able to bridge the traces without that but I doubt it

#

It could but the silicone might be easier to use

Similar to the DMX, differentiate your hit scores for different outcomes. I've found some opponents I just can't beat at full score, but have success defeating them with my current digimon by trying hit scores of 28-30

I think anything as low as 22 should be fair game to try with (as below 21 is a training fail within training)

So I didn’t get a chance to clear area 2 before filling my evolution meter and Gomamon digivolved to Ikakumon.

Not sure if the requirements will stay the same after clearing area 2, but I think it was the amount of training and/or battles that pushed the ikakumon evolution.

Some people have had that problem too

If you don’t mind tearing apart one of the cords, you can separate the plastic part from the connector

#

Just remove the half top and add a little tape and it will fit 😂

You have to push and hold it before plugging in

#

Be gentle when pushing and also use something flat if you use something sharp you could break it

Yeah it’s only noticeable in near to absolute silence. I had to put it right up to my ear otherwise to hear it. I thought it was the screen type that is used causes the noise when it is powered, but I have next to no knowledge on it so just my opinion

Id really love an Expedition mode where you can send your Digimon out for a set amount of time (maybe 1 hour increments) and they find items and gain xp. Would he useful if youre busy for a few hours and wanted to make sure they're not going to make a care mistake, but also get some neat items

I have considered that before and I find it’s a very interesting idea (there are already some iterations of that in the tamagotchi world)

I find it difficult to implement in this device, not for technical reasons, but because it makes you stop playing instead of going with your mon. If I had a pedometer it would be a different outcome though

You start it when you go out on your day, and then when you end it, it rolls certaijnresults depending on the total time spent travelling.

Hunger and training could still deplete, maybe walking is designed for shorter journeys like walking to the shops or going to work

I think virus fills up with poop? Like if you leave it around. Ive tested leaving it uncleaned and unless I've also triggered virus in a different way, that meter has filled a bit

@night glacier remember to use something flat to press the b00tsel anything sharp will break it!! If you don't wanna risk damaging the bootsel and wanna save it for emergencies use this command in command prompt (if on windows): mode comX 1200. Replace the X with the Com port number that the DMK is plugged into

@tulip acorn btw in the manual it says no charging while plugged into debug port. Does that mean no having the charger plugged in and actively charging the battery or turn the DMK off so it recieves no power from the battery while plugged in to debug?

I've been plugging into debug then switching off the DMK (to make sure it stays on) then switching on before unplugging (to make sure it stays on)
