#New Wall Charger for Christmas - Will the VB BE safely charge with this?

Keep in mind I got this for Christmas but I've not yet plugged it in due to not wanting to mess with the power strip/surge protector since that itself will be getting replaced at some point.

#

So for right now? The VB BE I have is hooked up to a similar Wall Charger that is at 5V for the port but only a single USB port to plug into it.

#

All I need to know if this particular Wall Charger with four slots overall will be safe to use to charge the VB BE with.

So the standard charging plug for the VB BE is safe for this?

#

This is what I've plugged it into for a while now.

#

So I've plugged the VB BE into the new Wall Charger in the initial post.

#

Using the same USB cable charger I used with the second power brick I posted just above this post.

Check the label on the one you want to use

Then you're good

Of course the real stresser of the situation was my eyes had to squint so very hard to read the model number for the old one.

#

My eyes were all like this trying to accurately read the model number on the old one to figure out if I needed to pull that up on search to double check things over here.

#

But fortunately everything seems to work out here.

#

Meanwhile in the event of traveling in which I'm away from any reliable charging mechanism for instance.

Check the output, see if it meets the requirement from the screenshot above

[ 5V/ 3A Fast Charging ]: USB-C charging speed can reach up to 3A, which is considered fast charging; a USB charging speed of 2.1A falls under normal charging speeds. You can choose the charging port according to your needs and circumstances to make the most efficient use of your time.

#

Also don't mind me but my eyes are straining enough today as is.

#

So if I'm correct here? The 5V/3A should be alright, aye?

#

Never heard of that brand

#

The main thing is you need to verify whether it limits output to 5V to start with

#

If it starts at 9-12V, you're going to blow something

slim solstice
#

So my friend is basically coming up empty with advisable power banks I can use the VB BE for.

#

Do any of you happen to have any ideas on brands you recognize?

#

It sorta sounds like you have something in mind, aye, @hasty burrow?

Wall charger? Anything that's 5V/2A, like from an old phone. That's pretty safe. Power banks, TBH low capacity and relatively cheap, but not word jumble Amazon brands

#

I currently don't have a good power bank recommendation. The one I use actually behaves fairly poorly and don't work well with lower wattage devices

slim solstice
#

Friend of mine passed this into my sights.

#

Thoughts?

#

I admit I will probably need a new charging cable for this if this one would work?

#

But I would need to know exactly what the VB BE side of the cable would need to be to plug in.

hasty burrow
#

Yeah that's pretty safe

#

It's still micro USB

HAng on BRB

#

The BE comes with a pretty short cable, which is perfectly fine for use with a power bank

slim solstice
#

Just checked, I do still have it.

#

Does the standard cable for the VB BE fit this?

#

Same brand but this one actually specifies the output details.

#

Anker is reputable, but do test for power supplies that supplies higher voltages whether it's going to accidentally send high voltage

Power supply in this case meaning anything you're plugging your VB into

slim solstice
#

Yes and I just said.

#

Because I've been using the older more obsolete phone brick for charging it just fine.

slim solstice
#

Does anyone else have any further assistance they can provide here?

#

@hasty burrow Apologies for the ping but do you have anything else to possibly say here?

silver lake
#

Looks like the question is already answered, what more are you trying to figure out?

slim solstice
#

Hmm, could've sworn I missed something.

#

I was just double checking to make sure everything was accounted for with what I mentioned with the links above?

slim solstice
silver lake
#

As long as they say they have a 5v output, you're good

slim solstice
#

And that just about wraps things up here as you pretty much just said.

#

So do I close this post myself if everything's been answered and all?
