To put it simply: i remember humulos saying there was a method to make it so I could win every fight with the arduino and my PenC. But girl I am so lost. I have set up the hardware and thats about as far as I got. Is there a tutorial ANYWHERE that can properly explain how to set up the software to “legally make all fights really easy”? Another thing is I just cant figure out the best way to get the signal and ground wires to connect with the prongs on my little guy, every time I try i cant get it comfortably on

Software wise I'd say use Acom flasher to flash the Acom if you're using android.
