I recently got metal empires, and out of the box, it's been doing this on occasion. On occasion, I can get it to work again, by tapping near the screen. How easy is it to repair/reseat the video cable ribbon?

Connection is probably just loose, you can try plugging it in further if it happens again. Should be many pictures in #modding_vpets showing the connection if you search through there.

Was afraid of that. Another thing that confirms this is when it's cold, seems like the connection fails. I'll buy a repair kit on my break and work on it

You really only need a screwdriver
The connector tab is a bit fiddly, but you can lift it using fingernails

Found the connection, attached and reattached it, didn't work to fix it

Anyone know if Bandai is willing to sell replacement parts?
Only other thing I can think of doing is trying a different screen or trying ro get ahold of Bandai or Zenin

I don't think Bandai has replacement parts for these. You can ask Zenin, but the best they'll do is give you half off a new one
