i've been watching a couple of videos and i am not exactly sure the difference between like, scanning the starter plate (such as the dragon one) and just scanning your hand? does it like, give you more or something? i ask cuz it's way cheaper for me to get the ic just on its own without the starter plate <@&801939772712419359> (hope its ok to ping-

the difference is that the plate has nubs that pushes the buttons on the top for you
that's how it determines if it is a plate or not

i usually use a spudger to press the button, but you can use some other tool
