Model: Legion T5-26AMR5 Desktop 90RB002AUS
Describe the issue: i just purchased new gskill tridentz neo 32gb ram and installed it into my computer, task manager tells me its running at 2133 when the top speed should be 3600. bios gives me no options to change the speed.
What have you tried already?: updating bios
When did it start producing the issue: today
Did you install new drivers or software?: yes, updated bios
Can you provide images/videos to show us the issue (screenshot is not mine but shows what i see and how the memory option isnt there)

ram overlocking isnt exposed in bios for legion towers afaik
is there any other way to get my ram up to the proper speed then? i really hope i didnt buy these just for them to not work properly lmao
2133 is the proper speed
3600 is overclocked
yeah thats what i mean, i basically paid money for a product that cant be fully utilized right?
because it wont reach the 3600 speed
more or less, yeah
I don't know if there is an advanced bios similar to the laptops where you can overclock and mess with stuff that aren't normally exposed, if there is such a thing for legion towers, you could probably oc the ram to 3600
alternatively, you could return the sticks and look into ones with 3200 jedec speed (base, no oc)
unfortunately bought them through ebay so refunds arent possible
do you think the difference between the 2133 i currently have and the 3200 i could get with buying a new pair is enough of a difference for me to buy a new one?
with how ram prices are looking now i could probably just sell these ones on ebay again and make my money back
then buy a better pair with jedec
I dont know how performance will be impacted for 2133 vs 3200 on your specific system, it varies quite a bit depending on your cpu
id say probably not worth it
but you can look into this, try searching in #legion-towers and #tweakers for xmp
i have a ryzen 7 5800 non x
afaik, ram speed has a significant impact on that
