Device: Lenovo Legion Pro 5

I have a problem that I have been facing for a while now. With prolonged or light use, when I turn off the device or restart it, everything works except the screen remains completely black, I connected the device to an external monitor, but nothing appeared on the external monitor, just like it did with the main monitor.

I don't use heavy software or even heavy games, just for work and some League of Legends and Apex Legends.
The last time I changed the thermal paste was a year ago, and I also bought a new charger cable because the original one broke. I also use Windows Ghost
(I'm sharing this information in the hope that it will help solve the problem).

When I turn the device on after a while, for example "the next day" or "after two days," it works perfectly normally again, but when I turn it off, the problem returns. Also, when I updated to the latest version of Nvidia, the same problem occurred during the update process.

Try an EC reset before you panic

What does that mean?

You have to use Honeywell PTM on gaming laptops or a similar phase change thermal compound, anything else will pump out after a few weeks causing the laptop to start running much hotter than intended

#

This isn't just a legion thing, this is an "all modern gaming laptops" thing

Is this the reason in your opinion?

Okay, let's outline the steps. What do I need to do now?

Try an EC reset, both quick and full

#

See if that makes your laptop work normally again

#

If not, then most likely the damage is already done and it's too late for your motherboard

#

If it does make your laptop work normally again, then buy some PTM and repaste with PTM

Hmm, is there a possibility that I might have to change the motherboard?

There is no hole throughout the device.
