Model: 16ACH6H

Describe the issue:
Freezes/restarts by itself a few random seconds after boot.

The only way that I have fixed it was to change the power plan to Ultimate Performance while also plugging the device.

Using the device unplugged will cause the same problem a few seconds after. Even in Ultimate Performance plan.

Standing by in BIOS doesn't cause the problem.

Tried looking at Event Viewer in Windows, nothing appears before the Critical Kernel-Power event, when the system suddenly restarts.

Plugged, Ultimate Plan: Works fine.
Plugged, Balanced Plan: Problem occurs.
Unplugged, Both Plans: Problem occurs.

What have you tried already?:
Clean installation of Windows 11 & 10, same issue and same fix.

Tried installing the recovery media from lenovo. When it's in the "The system is being installed, which may take a few hours, please be patient" process, it ALWAYS restarts on its own and restarting the recovery.

Tried re-installing ALL drivers, officially from the Lenovo website, and the official manufacturer website for the GPU and CPU.

Tried using other RAM sticks.

Tried running only on power, unplugging the battery from the motherboard.

Diagnosed the hardware with MemTest86, Lenovo Vantage, CrystalDiskInfo, HD Tune, basically almost everything that is common. All results with no errors or failures.

Tried booting into Ubuntu, got into the desktop for a few minutes but then freezes/restarts as well.

When did it start producing the issue:
Around early of this year, or late of last year.

Did you install new drivers or software?:
I have no idea what I did, but I saw 3 users here that have the same problem as mine, and they all questioned that it could be the latest BIOS version that messed up with something.

A user said flashing the BIOS to a previous version doesn't work. But I haven't tried it since I can't find any previous BIOS versions for my laptop.

Can you provide images/videos to show us the issue:
Yes if needed.

I found a temporary fix to prevent the laptop from freezing/restarting when both plugged and unplugged. I set min & max for both on battery and plugged in to 100% and it seems to be working so far. Kind of concerned about the battery life though. I thought using the Ultimate Performance power plan was the fix, but turns out you just needed to change these values. Works with balanced power plan as well.

Tried downgrading the BIOS to the earliest version, didn't seem to work

#

Tried soft EC reset, also didn't work

#

Still trying to find a permanent fix

Seems like it has something to do with the CPU going into idle states
