Lenovo LOQ 15IAX9 83GS:
WIFI speed drops down drastically at random times, even though other devices get good speeds and connections just fine (router is using WIFI 4 if that helps):
i have tried reseting the router, reinstalling drivers, restarting and reseting my laptop:
the issue started to appear after i began using another router (Livebox 5, WIFI 4):
i didn't install any new drivers or software:
unfortunately, i don't really know how to capture footage of it, since it's spontaneous:

wifi 4? what other device work and what speeds do they have?
all our phones and my brother's dell laptop. all get speeds of about 100-120 mbps (fiber-optic internet). which is why im so confused because the're shouldn't be a cause
are you using Vantage?
nope
okay, so its not Network Boost
check if you need to update drivers for the wifi card
or you can try splitting SSIDs (to 2.4 and 5) if the router allows
already is, im connected via 2.4ghz band
alright, ill try, maybe it'll be better
its not a maybe, 5GHz band allows for higher speeds
dont connect all devices on one single SSID
it can get congested
ok, changed to the 5GHz band, will try to download something and see if it fails
also updated drivers, they we're a few months out of date
how did you update drivers?
lenovo website hosts some drivers, they we're newer than the ones i had
might go have a look at the wifi cards manufacturers website to see if there are any newer drivers
people usually go with driver booster and that breaks everything in the process
this is explained in #1020285176531669012 btw
will have another read of it
thank you
updates?
Solved it, reinstalling drivers helped
Plus disabling optimized delivery for windows updates
Board still sucks with wifi4
i dont think this has anything to do with wifi at all
Probably not
