Model: Legion Slim 5 16APH8 (82Y9004SMH)
Issue: Laptop won't boot, not even in the bios. My laptop was working fine yesterday, no issues at all. I powered it off and from what I can remember there were not any windows updates. This morning I tried to turn it back on again but it doesn't want to boot. When pressing the power button, the keyboard/power button leds turn on for a small amount of time and then nothing. When holding the power button for 30 seconds instead of a white power button it is blue and flickering for a few seconds, then nothing.

What I've Tried: Normal power button usage with battery/battery+charger/disconnected battery+charger. Holding the power button for 30+ seconds in all the above configurations.

Last week I upgrade my RAM, but there were no problems. Just in case, I have swapped out my new RAM with the factory default RAM. I also tried without any RAM sticks installed. But in all these cases the behaviour stays the same as mentioned above.

I tried to look for a CMOS battery, but I was unable to find it...

The only modifications that I have made are adding an extra SSD (this was more than a year ago) and upgrading the RAM (this was last week).

I have included two videos of the behaviour when doing a short press (white led) and a 30+ second press (blue flickering led). For good measures I have also included a picture of the insides of the laptop.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Found the CMOS battery, disconnected it together with the battery. Will wait 15 minutes and then plug everything back in to see the results
Edit2: Connected the battery and the CMOS battery, same behaviour as previously stated

Try booting it without battery if it doesn't work then bring it to a technician

I have now also tested the reset/NOVO button, it has the same behaviour as the power button. As in, the backlight of the keyboard and the power button are on for less than second and then turned off again.

I will be contacting lenovo as this is still in my waranty period. However, if anyone still has some suggestions, feel free to speak up.
