#Z Keyboard key (AZERTY Keyboard) not working unless combined with any other

Model : Legion Slim 5 16APH8 - Type 82Y9

Issue :
Z key does not work unless pressed with any other key, whether it be shift, the surrounding keys A and E etc etc...

However, as I am typing this post, it is now back to normal and working fine on its own.

You may tell me that my problem is solved and there is no point to ask for help but this is a temporary fix as this also happened a few days ago and I thought the issue was gone but I know it'll come back, when ? don't really know.

Can't really tell if it is hardware or software, although the latter seems more likely as the key does indeed work whenever it wants to

Don't really know why it is happening, is the key getting worn out and starting to die on me due to extensicve usage ? Or is it a software issue related to a messy update or glitchy scenario ?
(I'd like to mention that I just did a factory reset through windows settings a few hours ago to see if that'd help, it did not.)

What could I have done to make it suddenly work again as I was typing this post (key combination "unstucking" the key ?) and what can I do to make it stay that way ? any ideas/suggestions ?

edit : it's occuring again, the key is not working anymore

edit 2 : I think I've found something, playing around with other keys of the keyboard, I noticed that pressing Left Alt + Z makes it work again. However the key still behaves oddly, if i hold it, instead of getting a chain of z like with any other key, nothing happens

this may a be a hardware issue hint actually, something behind the key preventing it from working properly ?

okay so i am assuming it's defective but not completely broken since the key works intermittently

uhh hopefully you can put that key back, otherwise this will change from a warranty case to an accidental damage case

i didn't properly put it back, it's still very wobbly and you can somewhat see that it's not perfectly aligned compared to other keys but it's working

good thing is that time is exactly what we're getting

the support will only be back on monday

so i'm guessing we have two choices now :

1st one, it works and does not break anymore, great i fixed the issue on my own, it's just an aesthetic issue now with the key looking a bit weird

2nd one, it breaks again in a few hours and i'll have to send it but technically i did put the key back on top so can they really pop off the warranty ?

right now, i still have a chance to send it and get the warranty to handle it, in case the z stops working again cuz it is not accidental damage anymore the key is still on c:

there is accidental damage protection available but it costs extra and has a time delay before it takes effect

as you said, depending on the person who receives and sees it, they may decline or not cuz they'll notice it most likely

I kinda was pressing hard when I raged in game so that problem is deserved this keyboard is very delicate

well the thing is, I never get into a heated situation online so i don't really break my stuff that way

I think the key just got worn out cuz it's the main key used in like 70% of video games

UPDATE : I dropped it for repairs and the whole keyboard was changed

definitely was hardware and no other options, fortunately they did not charge me for it (the A key was damaged so they could’ve dismissed my warranty claim by saying user damage but they were nice enough to cover it up cuz the Z key not working was definitely not my fault although there was no way to prove so)
