Model: Legion 15ARH05 Ryzen 5 4600H GTX 1650 Ti

Describe the issue: While playing certain games like Strinova, Honkai: Star Rail, ZZZ, GTA 5 in Hybrid Mode at Lenovo Vantage , the laptop sometimes crashes, and my GTX 1650 Ti shows 0% usage in Task Manager with no active processes. It seems like the GPU is being forcibly turned off and not running, while the iGPU remains active, possibly taking over game rendering.

In some cases, I disable Hybrid Mode at Lenovo Vantage and let the 1650 Ti handle everything, but the issue still persists. ofc i've been setting these all graphic setting to lowest but nothing change. I suspect that NVIDIA Optimus is poorly managing the GPU switching, causing instability. I want to completely disable the iGPU, or if there's another solution, I'd like to try it.

What have you tried already:

  • Forced iGPU (Radeon) to disable in Task Manager.
  • Used DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) for both GPUs.
  • Updated to the latest BIOS (version 41).
  • Uninstalled the iGPU driver, leaving only the NVIDIA driver.
  • Updated Windows and GPU drivers.
  • Set games to high performance mode in Windows graphics settings.
  • Forced games to run exclusively on the GTX 1650 Ti.
  • Set Lowest setting graphic.
  • Installed the latest NVIDIA driver (5xx series).
  • Attempted to update the Radeon driver, but the latest version isn't compatible with my laptop, so I'm using the * one from Windows Update.

but the problem still presisit.

*When did the issue start: *It's been happening for over a year, and I still haven't found the exact cause. My conclusion is that NVIDIA Optimus is the main suspect.

Did you install new drivers or software: Yes, I've updated to the latest NVIDIA drivers (5xx series). I also attempted to update the Radeon driver, but it wasn’t compatible, so I had to stick with the version provided by Windows Update.

Can you provide images/videos to show the issue?
