This is a brand new official microsoft xbox one series controller, and I'm on a legion 3070ti gen 6 laptop. This problem has gotten more frequent and worse the last few months, and I don't know if it's my drivers or my laptop or my controller that's the issue. I have tried a few cables, and the controller itself works totally fine plugged into my xbox just not laptop.

It disconnects a lot and turns off, and if it doesn't do that then I lose control and my character starts spinning a lot until I unplug the controller. Strangely, sometimes I unplug the controller and my game is still acting like I'm playing the controller and I can use it despite the controller being turned off and unplugged. I've tried multiple cables, the ports look fine, my drivers are updated and so is my windows version to the latest win11.

If it's relevant, my temps are often 70-80c when gaming with the controller plugged in, heavily modded Fo4, Skyrim, Elden Ring, Hogwarts Legacy...don't know if the temps could be messing up the controller or not.
