Model: 16ACH6H (Legion 5 Pro 6th Gen)
Describe the issue: My "Q" & "Windows" key have stopped working and I was wondering if its possible to remove the keys (and how I could do so) so I can try cleaning underneath or see if I can figure out why they arent working.
What have you tried already?: Blowing underneath the keys using a compressed can of air
When did it start producing the issue: ~1 year ago
Did you install new drivers or software?: Yep
Can you provide images/videos to show us the issue: Kinda unnecessary.

oh... is that a common thing that happens?

No, but hardware can fail anytime

cus like originally it started with the button not working 50/50

#

and over time it got worse to the point where it just doesnt work

Unless you think something is underneath the keycap preventing it from going down, then I don’t see what removing the key would do for you

#

By all means, feel free to try. Beware the scissor mechanism is very fragile and there is a good chance you will break it when removing the key cap

🤷‍♂️ its worth a shot. the keys dont work anyways so if they can be removed and possibly start working again its worth a shot

Outside of that, nothing to troubleshoot here. You would need a keyboard replacement

how much is it for one?

#

or like is it possible for me to do myself or is it like really difficult?

You’d have to look on Lenovo support

#

It requires fully disassembling the laptop

ah...

#

the annoying part is that this started happening as soon as I was out of the warranty window 😭

#

is the removal of keys the same across all/most legion laptops? Cus I found some video guides online but the laptops are not the exact one that I have

AFAIK, yes
