Show cpu power as well
The GPU is loaded too?
No. Show power.
So either it’s not clean enough or it’s time to repaste. If you hadn’t cleaned regularly and it was very dirty when you clean it, you may not be able to get all the dirt out without removing the heatsink. The inlets to the vents become caked with dirt and dust.
This is also assuming you have the laptop lifted and your ambient temp is not too high.
i cleaned every 2 months
this time it was next to no dust
Ok well time to repaste. I would also open the fan housings when you do to make sure it’s all clean
this is as dirty as it ever was (4 months of dirt)
Damn i tought it would last longer without a repaste
That’s enough to clog the exhaust vents and can be hard to clean without removing the fan housing
this is how it went
Ya. You can’t see the exhaust vents from this view though
.
Yes
Found 2 guides matching your search for repaste
stupid question but will my warranty be voided
You’d have to check your countries laws. Most places it would not void warranty
hmm anything else i can do to make it cooler
do i need to switch out anything or just the gpu and cpu paste
i dont want to do this again
man this is going to be painful
That’s it unless you find your thermal pads damaged
this is okay right
both the gpu and cpu are 40x80?
I linked you the repaste guide. It has many links to purchase from. Read the guide please.
guide doesnt say if both fit the same size
it tells you what to buy
ok thanks anyhow
the cpu and gpu are smaller than this
you cut pieces off the sheet to fit
you cannot buy pieces that are the exact size of the dies
o
in the guide it doesnt say with what to cut
i dont need some special tool or whatever right
a scissor or something will do yes?
i recommend a razer blade
