Lenovo legion 5 2021, rtx 3060, ryzen 7 5800h.
I have had an issue with the power draw for a long time. I have tested many drivers and there is only one, from 2022 that makes my laptop draw its maximum 125w.
All other drivers make it use 80w maximum and some newer drivers just give me bsods. Am I doomed to stay on this 2 year old graphics driver for ever? A game i am trying to play requires newer drivers but its literally impossible for me.

I have an idea
try using DDU, installing OEM Nvidia VGA drivers followed by newer Nvidia drivers install without ticking clean install

because i was using these drivers and installed the latest one with gfexperience and my entire gpu just stopped working

you want to tell me that you are complaning about not having boost but not mentioning nvcleaninstall?
did you even enable nvidia platform and framework controllers? you lose boost without them

im not sure
im only using nvcleaninstall because i started having problems again
when i updated my drivers regularly i got instant bsod's

okay yes i have the oem driver and it works
now do i just download from the nvidia website?

sadly this didnt work, after installing the drivers, without ticking clean install, iam still limited to 80watt
And pressing fn+q gives me blue screen

i will probably reinstall windows entirely first
since i have had issues with this install in the past and i cant update it
thats probably why lenovo updater gives me vga from 2022

sure, just make a backup of all files relevant to you and nuke it
