Model: Legion 5 15ACH6H

describe the issue:
my trackpad doesn't do anything when i'm in windows, in the bios everything is fine yet when i boot into windows 11 it doesn't do anything

what have you tried already:
-pressed Fn+F10 to check if it just wasn't turned off
-restarted computer
-looked in bios for detection errors (track pad DOES work in the bios)
-looked in device manager for wrong lenovo keyboard drivers but there wasn't even a keyboard named lenovo keyboard, just 5 times HID keyboard device and 1 standard PS/2 keyboard all of which were ''working properly'' according to windows
-updated the bios
-installed the latest version of Windows 11

When did you start having the issue:
i couldn't say for sure, the first time i encountered it was two weeks ago but i've had my laptop connected to monitor and keyboard for a few months so i could be anywhere from beginning of april - now

did you install new drivers or software?
not that i know of, maybe a few automatic updates but not actively

can you provide images/videos to show us the issue:
i attached an image of the device manager, please let me know if you need anything else.

Since I was under warranty I got 2 keyboard deck with TouchPad replacements

#

One temp fix I found was setting TouchPad sensitivity to max

#

I have the same model

#

And it works well with bios

#

Just not when booted

I found the fix, apparently Lenovo thought it was a good idea to automatically update and at the same time it decided to treat the trackpad as a Bluetooth device and turn it off.....😑

#

Thanks so much for your help!
