Issue: My left fan has stopped working
I have cleaned the fans, unplugged and replugged the fan, tried LegionFanControl and my Fan Senor reads 0 Rpm in Legion Fan control even when my right fan is working fine. CPU Temp are going as high as 100 Degrees causing alot of throttling while gaming and ideal temperature are high too
The issue started randomly a month ago, the device was running fine before that.
I have installed and updated all the latest drivers and the latest Bios from vantage app.

Btw, its out of warranty too😔 My BIOS version is GKCN64WW and I just installed ToolKit which tells better about the fan speed

Is there by any chance BIOS update or some software update caused the issue?? I’m totally clueless and also is it not possible to buy just a single fan?? I checked the heatsink price it’s close to 500 USD on amazon which isn’t worth it at all, will consult lenovo too

I doubt it. No lenovo does not sell single fans. You can search the internet, what you get may or may not be legit. Check lenovo support and lenovo encompass for parts.

Okkay i mean i wanted to ask that is it possible to replace just the Fan on my model or does the heatsink is attached with the fan and you can only get the replacement of the whole unit?? Cause I’m pretty sure i can find a fan at a local offline market for my model

Yes you can just replace a fan, I was saying lenovo doesn’t sell them. Take your chances with your local store if you’d like
